When Punk drops the title, will he still be in the main event?

You'd risk pushing him into the main event instantly? That could just as well backfire at him despite all his skills. He needs to be eased in naturally if the Shield angle doesn't keep itself high profile enough.

I'm not saying start him off feuding for the US title but I wouldn't throw him immediately into feuding with Cena for the WWE title. He needs to do something else before it as a singles guys to establish himself. At least from how it looks right now.

He can win it, and keep appearing on Raw everyweek like Sheamus currently does...

all guys who are ME caliber and some of which are due to be cemented as legitimate main eventers. for Del Rio it would take a character change

You can throw DB in there as well. He is still a tweener last I knew and can be put into a program with basically anyone that is likely to be entertaining

I agree but ADR in his current gimmick is far from main event calibre, in my opinion. He's had his main event chances under this gimmick and they have all been horrible.

I know, that's why I said it would take a character change. It honestly bums me out to think about how much talent ADR has and how poorly it is being put to use.
