...I don't buy into Reigns being this awesome force of destruction who's quickly running in to destroy everything so quickly. He's popping around and getting big moment after big moment and... Usually it feels like the story calls for it. Granted WWE has that issue where we all know what's going on backstage, but why is that the only company with that issue?
If I watch a Kazuchika Okada match, I get sucked into the story. I believe if only for a second that EVIL or Bad Luck Fale or obviously one of the heavy hitters of New Japan and in the end, he will be resilient and persevere and I'll applaud the Rainmaker. With Johnny Impact, I can believe he would be the top face of Impact because he's got a big athleticism edge on the rest of the roster. Asuka legitimately felt like she had an intensity, badass aura, and a fighting spirit that the rest of the Women's roster lacked. Prince Puma in season 1 was a good hearted dude you wanted to see succeed that was pulling off 630 splashes and athletic stuff the likes of which you've never seen before!
I'll definitely say Reigns has the most credible, hard-hitting offense on the roster, but I find it really weird how Roman gets so many big star moments but doesn't wind up feeling like a big star, with his matches or aura of anything. There's none of the meat and potatoes behind it that makes it feel filling when you finish with that dessert, that's what makes that cake so tasty at the end as your reward for finishing your dinner. Vince is just that kid that wants cake every day of the week and it's contributing to a product that can use some serious protein
