Yeah, I'm not wishing that Raw numbers drop to meet Dynamites at all.

I don't watch Raw but I want it to keep doing well as wrestling doing good as an industry is good for us all.

My post did get me thinking though....who would AEW have to sign in order to pull Raw numbers?
I don't think they could make a realistic signing that could really do that. Could they sign an Owens & Zayn or Gargano for example? Sure. Would it give them an initial small bump? Probably. Are they gonna bring say 200k NEW eyeballs to AEW while taking away 200k from WWE to bring the overall viewers to around the same number? I would highly doubt it.

While I still don't think it would happen, I think they would have more of a chance if they were to make a game changing female signing and that would be Becky/Charlotte/Sasha

Though with that being said, their roster isn't the issue apart from not having a truly mainstream star like Brock/Cena/Rock. The roster is already loaded with talent and names, they just gotta keep doing their own thing and hope they stick around. That being said when Punk/Bryan are the main champion / building up to it, there might be a bit of an upswing.

All a perspective of someone who doesn't watch the show fwiw.

Yeah outside of a Brock or something crazy, there's no one out there that I think will just bring in the views instantly, def don't think that should be the goal either

I do think it's possible that AEW eventually beats WWE in the ratings. In theory competition should make WWE step up there game, so this is the best thing to happen to wrestling in 20 years. Vince can no sell AEW for only so long, at this point they clearly know they are a threat.

I think it’ll be a minute. 2023-2024 at best to beat them consistently. The sheen on all these signings is already starting to dim a little bit. They have to find a way to bring in new fans and I don’t know how you do that.
