You think too inside the box. He didn't have to mention them by name.

There have been some good dream matches on here already.

I'll echo Chris Benoit vs. The American Dragon Bryan Danielson would be outright fucking epic.

Did we ever actually get Austin vs. Goldberg?

I would also love to see CM Punk (2011-2013 version) vs. Ric Flair in his prime.

How about Razor Ramon vs. Cesaro?

And one good tag match: Freebirds vs. the Brood (all 3 of them, naturally) vs. the Shield.

And I'll give you ABA Undertaker vs. Crow Sting.

30 man Battle Royal featuring he 30 most popular wrestlers of all time... dead or alive
Warrior no selling an elimination by climbing back in the ring would be fantastic
Sammartino pi*ssing and moaning and banging his hands against the mat because he hates progress would be amazing
Ric Flair blading and concussing himself without so much as a blow from an opponent would extraordinary
... and Mick foley finding some way to actually decapitate himself would make this a Battle Royal I'd never forget

The bigotry and self-adulation of the competitors would bring the match to a total of 15 hours, but then again so would the entrance of Andre The Overrated Giant

ABA Undertaker would be dumb to face Sting. It need to beat Dead Taker vs. Crow Sting.

I'd also like to add a couple of other feuds that would probably be awesome: The Shield vs The NWO and Steve Austin vs Jake Roberts.

The NWO and The Shield are easy to draw parallels to one another - both are trios, both have the gang-mentality of using strength in numbers to surround their prey before they go in for the kill and demolish them, both groups have a big man enforcer (Kevin Nash for the NWO, Roman Reigns for The Shield), etc. You know those moments during tag team matches where one man gets tagged in but wants the other legal man to tag in a partner of his because he wants a piece of that other guy instead? I imagine a cool moment like that between Roman Reigns and Kevin Nash. They're both the biggest dogs in this fight and they want to get into the ring with one another for the first time to see who the biggest dog in the yard really is (I imagine the moment where they step to-to-toe with each other would be received with a big reaction.) A lot of cool things I can think up for this rivalry, if only Hogan/Hall/Nash were at least as young and in shape as they were during their 2002 run...

Steve Austin and Jake Roberts would be a interesting rivalry for similar reasons, which is the fact that there's parallels between the two men. Both men are "snakes", neither man can be completely trusted, both can be cold blooded when the situation calls for it, etc. Austin's old motto is "D.T.A... Don't Trust Anybody" and Jake's second theme as a heel from 1991-1992 was "Trust Me" (my favorite theme of his), which was his devious way of saying he couldn't be trusted. I picture this feud starting up because the two become tag team partners on one special occasion (no idea why) and Roberts ends up turning on Austin for some reason. He then cuts a promo in his usual eloquent way, talking about how a man like Austin should know better than to trust a snake. Seeing Roberts play mind games with Austin would be great. Plus, both men's style of punching and kicking and striking blows on their opponents is pretty similar, so I picture just an all-out brawl and "slobber-knocker" (as JR would put it) when they two stepped into the ring with one another.

I'd say Jinder Mahal vs Heath Slater vs Drew McIntyre in a 3MB break up match. The three GOATs of jobbing.

King of the Ring 1996? The bible toting Roberts getting the 3:16 speech? You're Lockard so I'm not gonna give you the business like I would to some mark
So while they never feuded, Jake Roberts put Austin in a match and in a way which gave birth to the attitude era.
You know all this already, but I wouldn't want anyone to downplay that match, because Roberts' 'job' really was to put the rattlesnake character over.

I do give that KOTR '96 match plenty of credit for giving birth to Austin 3:16 because of the post-match interview that Austin gave (of course), but you should know I won't count that since it wasn't an actual full-fledged rivalry between the two men, and certainly not when Jake was in his prime and in superior form. Austin beating down on a severely hurt Jake Roberts (who, if you recall, was hit with a few Vader Bombs earlier in the night after a pissed off Vader took exception to Roberts defeating him by disqualification because of a flimsy call by the referee) and putting him away with the Stunner after about five minutes doesn't really qualify to me as much of a match. And Bible thumping Jake Roberts isn't the same as the conniving and devious Jake Roberts who would go so far as to slap a woman and sic his poisonous snake on you while you were helplessly tied in the ropes and then talk about how much he was turned on by his own actions in his promos following the match. THAT Jake Roberts never squared off with Stone Cold, and quite a shame as he would have been a hell of a rival for the Rattlesnake.

APA vs Beer Money in a beer drinking contest. No contest due to Straight Edge Society interfering and they all beat the shit out of them.

Point taken, I knew what you meant and where you were going. Some may liken that to a MITB win, as its hardly considered nothing but a cheap win. 100 % of the time MITB wins ought to lead to full fledged feuds.
I've always been somewhat interested in prime v prime feuds, rather than just one-off matches. If I'm not mistaken Roberts is one of the cats, Austin always wanted to work a series with.
The AE was great at blurring the heel/face dichotomy to the point where Austin could be the face and Jake could be the heel and JR could have a great time calling it.
