Whats next for Edge?

It seems that everyone on the Smackdown! brand is busy with a feud. Triple H is feuding with Jeff Hardy, Undertaker is battling Big Show, and the mid-carders are busy too. So, how will Edge fit into all of this? We've heard rumors that Edge is going to return soon, how will WWE make room for him on Smackdown!? Also, who do you think Edge will feud with when he makes his return?

Imo, Edge is going to come back and chase after the WWE Championship. His program with Undertaker is done, so he obviously won't go back to him. A Triple H/Edge feud seems to be the most logical thing at the moment. Just have Edge return and spear Trips out of nowhere, and maybe at the end of the feud in the blowoff match, maybe...just maybe, Edge can beat Triple H and regain the WWE Title. Nah, I'm just dreaming.

So, what do you think WWE will do with Edge? Who will he feud with when he returns?

I personally would love to see him to screw Trips out of his title (sooner rather than later). Maybe edge winning the title of whoever. And then they get into this huge long feud Going back to when DX vs Rated RKO and Trips tore his quad. And make it a long feud like HBK/Y2J's feud. maybe have Edge as Tweener/Heel and trips turn flown blown kick ass evil heel. IMO trips title reign at the mo sucks, Plus he will be far better off chasing the title. Obviously he ain't gonna win it any time soon maybe not for a few years because that would have the HHH haters creaming there pants to have a pop at his ever growing title reins. But yeah thats who i would like to see him feud with, I think there matches would be awesome.

Do you really think his feud with Taker is over? Of course it is the WWE and they could completely forget about this feud, but Edge was sent to hell and burned alive by Taker. He just can't go and act as if Taker isn't around.

WWE needs to book a match in which they put Taker, Edge and another men in a Triple Threat match, so we get the feeling of closure between Taker and Edge, and Edge can go on to feud with that third wheel.

I am just saying, Edge cannot just appear on a random SD without confronting Taker.

he will probably end up feuding with HHH very soon. maybe with hardy for a number one contenders spot while HHH has a match with the russian...

well really the most obvious choice is to have interfere this sunday at No Mercy and attack Jeff Hardy costing him the match bc well lets face jeff isnt winning besides triple h will be fueding big show after cause he needs to fued a heel.

On the other hand like CMS said why not put Hardy, Edge and taker in a triple threat match for the number. 1 contender or something tht way edge can finally blow off his fued with taker and eventually fued with triple h for the world heavyweight championship. and then u can have a possible hardy vs. taker fued with tht too

yea i could see edge screwing jeff outta the wwe championship and then them going one on one for the #1 contendership and edge win then he beat hhh for the wwe tittle at the next paper view

I can see him coming back soon and ending up having a great feud with Jeff Hardy possibly costing him his chance at the WWE title but then again that might be Kozlov. I'm not totally sure because he is a great heel so he won't be going against Big Show and his feud with Taker is virtually over.

 

[Final Verdict]

I see Edge returning at No Mercy or Cyber Sunday and costing Triple H the title against Jeff Hardy. Then him feuding with Jeff Hardy for Survivor Series and Armageddon and winning the title. Then come Mania time Edge will lose to Triple H.

I think he will Coast Trip's the WWE Championship, or maybe coast Jeff Hardy the Match? either way he will feud with one of these 2.

* Edge will cost Jeff Hardy the WWE Championship.
* Edge will feud with Jeff until...
* Triple H will go and face Big Show.
* Big Show will win.
* Edge will face 'Show.
* Show will go face again, with Edge being heel.

Either that or Edge will go against 'Show and Guerrero with 'Taker.

they should keep him out of the WWE Title picture for a while first, having him come out of nowhere after a big feud would kinda surprise the fans. there really isn't anything exciting I would want to see with Edge now on Smackdown, I could see him getting fired from SD if they do a breakup with Vickie and Ryder & Hawkins.

I agree with Sabinizer, edge will feud with Jeff for quite a long time with probably cage or ladder matches and then Edge will win the WWE title again, and face HHH at Mania

Edge vs Shawn Michaels for another round of classic matches would be nice.
I feel that the last time they had a feud things could be done better so I would like to see them again dance in the square circle.

Show must be due a title shot against HHH some time soon seeing he's now got Vicki on-side...

So during Show vs HHH, 'tweener' Edge returns and screws Show out of the win and as a consequence goes to war with La Familia (He'd still remain psycho-Edge a la HIAC so as to sell the idea that he'd dare to fuck with Show). Add to that the occasional 'assist' appearance from Taker whom sees Edge's screwing Show & Vicki as his redemption. (I don't see Taker having too many matches in the near future as they'll want to keep him in shape for 'Mania)...

Maybe we'd see MVP 'tween' for a while, alligning himself with Edge too; looking to take HIS frustrations out on the Guerrero regime... Then finally add any other other faces that are sick of the corruption in the SD office.

As with the Punk V Priceless stuff, this would bode well for an interesting Survivor Series and still keep the ME-champs clear of the 4 on 4's to allow title defenses on the night.

(Meanwhile HHH goes on to eventually have the recently teased match against Koslov. Koslov will look good but ultimately lose. I wouldn't be suprised if HHH held on 'til mania now, only to lose in a triple threat or sumthin'.)
