Why didn't you use a hockey stick? What kind of a Canadian are you?

He uses Maple syrup as lube, if its any consolation. You would be amazed at how creative Canadians can be with their syrup. like rednecks with duct tape

Haha fuck yeah. His awkwardness + one liners is pure gold.

He was money when he first came up. You could tell how hard it was for him to continue writing jokes when he had pigeon holed himself into his style of comedy. He was brilliant, and some of his later stuff was still funny, but it was a lot more miss than hit. Still though one of the most unique comics I've ever seen; nobody could replicate his style because it would be too obvious you were lifting from Mitch.

by far the best set I've seen from him:

his honesty on stage is awe inspiring. "my old shit works better than my new shit" The performance has a real Andy Kaufman esc feel to it. The crowd almost didn't seem to get Mitch. His timing and awkwardness are the best part, but that was lost on them.

YESSSSSSSS. Watch watching this one the other night actually, kinda felt bad that the audience wasn't really getting the jokes haha. He'd have to pause and shit.

"Maybe if I don't face the audience this will work better" (or something along those lines)
"Man, you guys have to get in to my jokes harder... I have 30 minutes"

The dude was fucking cool and genuine.

lmao have to get my jokes harder

I like the joke about hanging out with people who talk to much. "I can't get a word in edgewise. When I do, I normally say something like. Hey man, want some tafffffffy?"

like 3 people giggle. He stands there for 10 seconds "you don't get that joke? I get the feeling you don't get half my shit. special!"

I used to drugs, I still to, but I used to too.

I was in a band. People either loved us or hated us... or thought we were OKAY.
