Perfect Asian gore flick, it's very violent and gore don't get me wrong but it's the perfect amount of gore IMO, I mean there is blood all over the place and lots of gore but it's not OVER THE TOP gore. Heads being cut off, arms, dismemberment, etc. The actors are terrific, the story is very weird but the movie evolve all the time as it gets close to the end. Highly recommended for fans of the genre. 9/10

Very good 80s comedy horror where a man becomes addicted to a leech who is eating his brain giving him hallucinations and the thing gets out of control. 8/10

The Racket starring Robert Mitchum. It was the typical gangster movie. I mean, the corrupt business which is run by Nick Scanlon is called the Acme Holding Company. How sinister sounding!

A couple of films watched with some friends of mine...

Army Of Darkness (1992)
Always a fun watch with some great non-digital effects
and Bruce Campbell hamming it up to 11.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension! (1984)

Well...this is the second time I've watched this film...and
I want to like it...I really do...but its such a colorless mess
with too many characters and poor effects.

The ending credit theme is amazing though...

If we're talking recent releases, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was the last recent film I watched and it was amazing. The main cast's performance was great as was Kurt Russell's performance as Ego and honestly, it was better than the first one, as was the soundtrack.

When it comes to older movies, I recently rewatched The Shawshank Redemption and it's still amazing as when I first saw it, one of my favorite movies of all time and Morgan Freeman is always a win in any movie.

M (1951). The police have kept the streets of Los Angeles under siege because there's a child killer running loose so the mafia searches for the killer themselves. Police roaming around cuts into the mob's illegal activities. Luther Adler puts forth a passionate performance as the child killer's defense attorney.

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance (2009)

I love it...every single minute of it...

Stargate (1994)
Yeah...this one is still pretty cool...and I remember
it being a big talking point back when I was at school.

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate (2013)
So...I've never played the games...but Bayonetta
is wonderful to watch...if you know what I mean.

Seriously...they put her in Super Smash Bros?

I mean...she looks fantastic...but isn't she a little out
of place next to Mario, Sonic, Link & everyone else.

One could only imagine the "nosebleeds" she would give
Mario, Link and all the other male members on the roster.

A pretty solid follow up to the original.

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo (2012)
While it looks & sounds amazing...the
story is fucking awful...and therefore the
film itself is fucking awful.

Pretty damn good flick. The three leads definitely keeps in you invested in it from start to finish in all too familiar territory. Which is my only serious gripe with this...the familiarity of the story, somewhat the predictability where it heads but I got past that right quick, some may not be able to. The pacing might be a little slow for some folk but I didn't mind it in this one.

Inside Man starring Denzel Washington. Critics and audiences give this movie rave reviews and I think because Denzel is such an outstanding actor they ignore the numerous issues with this film. Denzel looks good as a well dressed NYPD Detective but the movie is rubbish.

The whole plot centers around the bank's CEO Arthur Case (Christopher Plummer) who has incriminating documents inside his safe deposit vault which worries him because if the robbers get to those documents it will ruin his reputation. When he was a young businessman, he did business with the Nazis to enrich himself. He's been holding onto these documents for sixty years. If these documents were so embarrassing, why didn't he just shred the documents? Jodie Foster is unpersuasive as a conniving middlewoman who works for Case to keep his secret under wraps. Another issue is the music. It's supposed to be a gritty cops-and-robbers movie yet this upbeat Bollywood music is playing at the beginning of the film.

Finished up Season 1 of Ozark. Compelling for the most part. There were a couple episodes near the end of the season that felt a bit uninteresting, uninspired..but didn't last and picked up quite a bit in the season finale. Everyone is good in this but this really showcases the incredible range of Bateman. How he struggled at one point before Arrested Development is beyond me as I could watch him in anything and he would convince he is the character he plays. All round story, direction...has me eagerly anticipating season 2.

Finished Bloodline Season 1 and a few episodes into Season 2. Enjoy every bit of it so far. Can kinda relate to some of the characters situations as well or I definitely have come across some of them in my life.
