The Replacement Killers from 1998. Mira Sorvino was pretty hot in this (just looked up some recent pictures of her at the ripe age of 47... yikes), but other than that, just an average action movie.
The dollar movie theaters by me had a special showing of this movie on the big screen for 50 cents so I decided to peep it on the big screen since I never had before.
Still such a solid movie, I was hoping they had the 2nd one going in there the next day but they said no, but the Outsiders is scheduled to be next so I'm cool with that.
IFC showed two Cheech and Chong movies the other day... watched them both start to finish (had seem them before, but it was long ago and I was not in a great state of mind to remember them)
Finally watched it, good movie overall, and the critics did not favor it at all, therefore I'm pleasantly surprised. Does it have some cliche talk one-liners and slapstick comedy? Sure, but so did LOTR. Does it have one narrow escape scene too much? Sure, but so did LOTR. Does it have an insanely high implausibility factor at moments? Sure it does, but so did LOTR. My point is, Peter Jackson managed to reach that Tolkien Middle-Earth magic again, this was a good feature. It does have its fair share of flaws (dat CGI overload), but it was a fun ride.
Wow, it's been years since the last time I watched it. I really liked it, just like the first time I watched it. It was damn great. Giving it a solid 9/10, mainly because I love based on a true story movies.
Enjoyed both movies a lot I'd give dallas buyers club 10/10 Matthew McConaughey deserved his Oscar win for his performance in it and as for robocop id give it an 8/10 good movie but not as great as the original
I'm a huge Kevin Smith fan and I love the dialogue he writes... it was good in this movie as well, but the movie dragged on at least 20 minutes too long. Johnny Depp was very interesting in a quirky, albeit, stupid role. I don't see how a lot of people find this movie disturbing.. the first full reveal of the "walrus" made me laugh.
Just got off from The Hobbit 3, it's an impressive movie. Sure, it does have your usual cliche flaws, but the story was still strong and the visuals were stunning, my oh my, incredible effects all around. Surreal experience.
