Yeah, a bunch of old bands listened to a lot of punk. Sepultura, Hanneman, Hellhammer, Metallica, etc.
I like some stuff, I just never know where to start:
Iirc I started with Rattus or Terveet Kädet and slowly started listening to some more. Not sure if i'm a metalhead/punker hybrid yet. But I'd say the best way to start listening to a genre is to first listen to one band, then later on more. Not 15 bands immediately. True, true. I should probably start off by listening to some of the old classics and go from there.

Yeah. If you're gonna start from hc punk then maybe some one of my bands. If classic punk then I'd say maybe Ramones? I've listened to them a bit and they sound nice.
They then better release an album soon. Motherfucker, why didn't Satan just appear in this world to play with Hanneman, instead of taking Hanneman to Hell?

Fuck. This is so good. I love how much more raw these songs are.
I'd say Jeff kinda was the biggest part in the band. Ofc King and Araya also wrote songs, but Jeff wrote most of them iirc. Just gotta hope their 2014/15(?) album is good. Even though they'll never prolly be as good as RiB, but I'd hope at least Christ Illusion -good. Maybe even Divine Intervention good?
