What moment made you a fan?

Sharing time, folks. What moment or match or promo made you a fan of wrestling? Can you pick out what made you love wrestling?

For me, I have a couple moments. One match that made me a fan was at Wrestlemania 6. Specifically, it was Hogan vs. Warrior. This was my first match I ever watched. I used to rent the tape from Blockbuster all the time, just to watch that moment where Hogan did the job for Warrior. That electricity in the air that night and the fans reaction to Warrior winning was amazing. That got me into simply watching wrestling. That moment.

But what made me a diehard fan was the 1995 Royal Rumble. I have this whole PPV on tape. In retrospect, it wasn't the best Royal Rumble they put out. Star power was down. Ratings were down. But for me, it was huge. Razor Ramon vs Double J Jeff Jarrett. Bret Hart vs Diesel. I loved those characters. The Rumble itself is what hooked me in. Seeing HBK in all his glory, outlasting 29 other superstars to win the whole thing was phenomenal. Made me an HBK fan and a wrestling fan. I will always remember Michaels dangling from the ropes, only one foot touching the ground. I remember watching it for the first time and paying such close attention to the replay, making sure only one foot hit the ground. Great moment for me.

When I saw Wrestlemania X8 in the Skydome. (now renamed the Rogers Centre)

I kind of knew about all the big names in wrestling from people talking at my school, but when I saw this for the first time I was hooked. Than a few years went by and I just got bored of it.

I started spordically watching wrestling in 2005 but I think ECW One Night Stand 2006 was the moment that made me a real fan.

The passion from the crowd that night reminded me of Football (Soccer) crowds and I just fell in love.

Rob van Dam vs John Cena is still my favourite match of all time.

Over the Edge 1998. My cousins owned the VHS and I watched it with them and I just loved how much of a boss Austin was and I got hooked.

I started in 2006. Anytime Undertaker made his entrance, I'd be awed. Rey vs Chavo in an I quit was the first really good match I saw so that made me a fan.

HELL IS NOT A MYTH
It was 1997 when I was watching WCW Uncensored 1997 on PPV with my family. I was 5 so it was just now able to actually tell what was going on. Team nWo vs Team WCW vs Team Piper just went down in the main event with Hulk pinning Luger and then Sting (who had been MIA) came down from the rafters and attacked every member of the nWo with his bat and I was hype. This also impact my love for Sting and the fact that he's one of, if not my favorite wrestlers ever.

I can't remember a specific moment TBH. I remember watching loads of tapes in 1991, but the first PPV event I remember watching was SummerSlam 92.

Wow, so many to list. The three five star matches between Flair and Steamboat in 1988 or 1989. They had these matches within a four month span too. Also, the Flair vs. Luger fued in 1988 that main evented The Great American Bash and Starcade.
