- As became evident on last night’s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi, Mike Adamle has been instructed to focus on selling gimmicks and storytelling rather than calling the actual moves used in the matches in his commentary. This is reportedly one of the reasons why Vince McMahon did not like Joey Styles’ work as he is on a kick where he feels that it is more important to sell the storylines rather than focus on the moves. Based on the people that I talked too, the feeling is that McMahon feels comfortable with Adamle calling the action as he is aware that Adamle does not know the moves used so he will not get into the habit of calling them.

- The unnamed wrestler that Vladimir Kozlov squashed at last night's SmackDown tapings from Greensboro in a match that will be included on this week's edition of SmackDown was Marty Garner. Garner worked for WWE back in the 90s and is a North Carolina native. He is not under a WWE contract but was called in to work the squash match. We have full SmackDown taping results now online. You can read them at this link.

Well the instructions given to Adamle seem more suited to something a colour commentator would do. If Adamle doesn't know the moves and what to say then it's not gonna go down well when it's a finisher and he's left speechless or left saying "What a powerful move there by Kane". I see what Vince means about wanteing to get the storylines more over than the moves but there could at least be some sort of balance of the two.

what the hell is the point of having a play by play man if he cant call the moves? Mike Adamle has a good voice, all he has to do is learn the moves and he'll be good, if Vince doesnt let him though, Adamle will just stay the way he is, and that isnt good at all

Mike Adamle is a player, enough said. He is going to take ECW to places it hasn't been before, thank god he doesn't call moves though.

Switching topics, wasn't Marty Garner the guy that botched the pedigree? Wasn't he also the guy who MVP faced in his debut? Oh, and he's probably not contracted by the Double Double E (yes, Kozlov reference, how ironic?) because he sued them after the botched pedigree.

Where'd they dig up Garner from?! And I saw the video on youtube, "highlighting" Adamle's commentary, what he said about Mike Knox and his match against Dreamer is some of the most unbelievable BS I've ever heard. Adamle has a good voice but I just don't understand why he's messing up so bad.

Yes and yes to the Garner questions. Marty is real life friends with the Hardy brothers, and used to work in OMEGA with them. Matt said in the Hardy Boyz book that he felt that Marty was really talented, but never got picked up.
