What is your honest opinion on Finn Balor?

Finn Balor was set for huge monster since his debut.He defeated 4 guys in his first match then pinned Reigns clean en route to SummerSlam where he beat Rollins to become the First Universal Champion.He did in the matter of 1 month.But then he got injured and is still healing.
But do you think he deserved the super push he was getting?
I honestly dont find him that interesting at all.He has the Demon gimmick but its not intimidating at all(like Kane).As his normal self,he has bland persona and zero charisma.His mic skills are weak.He has the most handsome look(which is why i think he got the push).He is mediocre in the ring(though i admit ive not seen his nxt career).Styles,Cesaro and Zayn are probably miles ahead of him.
Anyways,whats your honest opinion?Do you think he should be superpushed into the main event or should he start from the bottom?

I think he is good but will improve with time. You can't expect all wrestlers to come out the gate at AJ's level. Finn > Zayn in my book though.
You also can't expect anyone to match original Kane when it comes to intimidation. No one will ever be on his level in terms of that kind of theme.

Personally i'd put him much higher than mediocre in the ring. I enjoy watching him wrestle. I think the demon person will become more and more intimidating, not because of how he looks, because he'll never look like a massive 7 foot tall beast. But because of what he does when he goes to that place in his mind. If booked right, it will be kinda the same fear people had at undertaker at wrestlemania. Which was more than just a fear of undertaker the 7 foot phenom, it was that fear of an unconquerable force, something that made him godlike at WM. (well... till WM30)

He does need to improve his mic skills but I think that push was heading the right way and it was at the right time, anyone getting pushed over Roman, clean, is a-okay in my book. Nothing against Roman as a person but his current character is a snoozefest on legs.

The match they put on with him vs Rollins was pretty awesome from what I remember, so yeah I honestly think he's one of the key players for the next 5-10 years. After that? Well that would depend on how well he manages to stay healthy.

good ring worker. dull personality. his image with the face paint is a big reason to why hes a top guy.

He definitely isn't mediocre in the ring. If all you have seen of him is his main roster work (a total of what, three matches?), then I guess I can see how you might feel that. You really need to see more than three matches before you know how good a guy can be. But his work in NXT and his work in NJPW is really good. Personally, I wouldn't say he's exceptional. He's not on the level of a Daniel Bryan, Ric Flair or Hiroshi Tanahashi, but he is a really good wrestler.

I don't feel that the Demon King gimmick is supposed to be intimidating on the level of Kane or the Undertaker. Their gimmicks are supposed to be frightening, but largely because they are huge and strong guys who anyone in their right mind would find scary. The Demon King really is more of a mysterious "what the hell is up with this guy?" sort of gimmick. I mean, Finn Balor isn't really even that much bigger than I am. But the Demon King is more supposed to mysterious and confusing than down right scary.

Personally, I'm not HUGE on Balor. He's never going to be a favorite of mine. But I do like him a lot and I will root for him over 95% of the WWE roster if he is facing them.

Finn Balor's one of my favorite wrestlers in WWE and the primary reason is because of his look. I know, that's a VERY shallow reason as to why I like him and I do like his ring work, but Wrestling is all about theatrics, all about the looks, and Finn Balor has one of the greatest looks I've seen out of a wrestler. First off, the dude is fucking cut, look at those abs, I don't mean to sound gay, but that is a fiiiiiiiiine body. Combine that with the leather jacket and he has a fantastic look. But the demon form is something else, I don't personally care its not really been used as a storyline until recently, you can't top what Finn Balor has with his demon entrances. In your opinion what looks cooler, the generic wrestler with black tights coming out to some rock track while scowling to the ring, or some crazed motherfucker decked out with demonic war paint with dreads, dark red lighting, smoke, intense orchestral music, and flashing lights, all the while looking like he's possessed. THAT is a wrestler in my opinion, your entrance makes you, it describes who you are and what your character is, it allows the audience a microcosm of how the character acts and their manners when they enter, the entrance is one of the most important aspects about being a wrestler and Finn Balor has one of the best entrances going for him, whether it be his regular entrance inciting crowd participation that shows off his babyface attitude, or his demon form entrance that shows the dark, twisted side of him in full motion.

I like him. The demon part of his gimmick creates a good mystique about him and he is solid in the ring. His mic skills, while not blowing me away very soon, he's had some good chops against Seth, showing some passion in an in-ring promo against him and the vignettes about his alter-ego really were good. I feel if he returns, if they flesh out his mic work and character a bit more, he'll be even better. I honestly felt very upset when he got injured. That time he could have used to build himself up even greater, but if they capitalize on his return (something they failed to do with Seth-y-poo) then things will be all fine in the Universe.

Also, if there was an evolution of theme music...his would be the final form...

I have to be honest...every time I've seen him wrestle I've been impressed...mainly in the 2 matches he had against Kevin Owens
for the NXT title. I love "the Demon King" look...but I really think WWE creative needs to develop the Demon King as its own character
and allow Finn to explore his range as a performer.

I believe I wrote this in another thread somewhere...but I would like to see the Demon King "take over" and perhaps start causing "trouble"
for not just for Finn's enemies but for the management, crew and possibly (planted) fans. Make it a rise and fall/light and darkness story
with Finn giving "everything" to the Demon King for the chance to recapture his dream (Universal Title)...only to "lose control" and become
a danger to anyone and everyone. Gallows & Anderson try to help but fail, Triple H and Stephanie fail to control to the Demon King...even
Mick Foley (if he's still around) can't reason with what Finn has become.

Only one person can "help" Finn...and its Bayley.

The Angel & The Demon...

Play up the light and dark elements that their characters would allow for and have Bayley be the one to drag Finn out of his own darkness
and push the Demon King back into the shadows.

Oh Shit...sidetracked...Yeah...so I like Balor...I think his in-ring skills, look and theme music are fantastic...and to be honest...I haven't heard enough of his mic skills to make a comment.

The Demon grins before letting out a strange cackle.

She watched as the Demon ran it fingers over the belt on its lap. The Universal title.
or as the Demon King now called it...the Underworld title. She shifted on her feet
slightly and felt the weight of her own title around her waist.

"I want to talk to Finn"

The Demon suddenly and without warning screamed at her.

"I AM FINN!!!"

It took all her will power not to turn and run back to her dressing room.

Why did it always hang around in basements and boiler rooms?

"Finn would never scream at me like that"

The Demon looked sad for a split second before its expression returned to an uneven grin.

"I'm sorry Angel...I didn't mean to yell...its just...I don't like hearing that name"

"You mean...your name"

The Demon closed its eyes and took a deep breath before it suddenly changed the subject.

"I'm sure one of the others would sit by me...the blonde queen...the purple gangster...
may-be I should ask one of them when they have that" the Demon mocked as it pointed to
the title around her waist.

"You wouldn't do that...I know you wouldn't"

"You know nothing" it replied with a growl.

"I know that you have to defend your title tonight...that's why I'm down here"

"They sent you?"

"No...I volunteered...I wanted to see you"

"And for that I am glad pretty wings. Who will I battle tonight?"

"Strowman"

The Demon again cocked its head as if searching for the knowledge...the memories.

"Ahh...the mountain man...anger, rage and power...but such a fragile mind"

She turned to leave but the Demon spoke again...and this time she swore she could hear Finn in his voice.

"Will you accompany me tonight Angel? I always fight better when I know your watching"

She stood motionless thinking but the Demon wanted an answer now.

"Pretty Wings? I promise I won't go overboard if your there. I won't let any blood get on you this time"

She thought back to the match the Demon had against Sami Zayn. Everything was red...the Demon's face...
his hands...the mat...Sami's face and chest. She had nearly been sick when the Demon had licked a stray
splash of blood off her face.

She turned and faced him again only to find him hanging upside down by his legs from a water pipe.

"Pretty Wings?"

"Okay...but you have to promise me...no blood"

"No Blood" it repeated with a grin.

"And after you win...you come back here and wait for me"

"Yes Pretty Wings...we...I mean I...will be waiting right here"

The "We" was a good sign...
