I wouldn't have had 7 hours of WrestleMania. Between the preshow and the show going well over four hours, it was hard to get excited. I mean, I love wrestling nearly as much as a person can. But after a two hour preshow and a subpar and long show, it was just way too much. It was draining. I personally found WrestleMania 31 to be the best Wrestlemanias of all time. It saddened me that such a great show was succeeded by such a poor show. And who knows? Maybe the show wasn't as bad as it seemed to me. It may have been that after 7 hours, I was too spent to enjoy anything.
Oh I understand ya man... Have seen a few people talk about how "If you go back and watch Triple H vs Roman it's actually not that bad. Not being fatigued helps!"... If you want to try that out, feel free.
But strangely my thoughts coming out of the show was that it was a 3/10, but thought "It'll get better with time, because that women's match was such a wonderful treat to see. The new belt, the serious treatment, the entire showcase between the entrances onto the match itself... is what we'll remember from this Wrestlemania."
Oddly enough, I have to actively try to remember that because my first reaction is to throw my hat across the room and yell WHY DID CHRIS JERICHO PIN AJ STYLES IN 2016. Then remember that Ambrose/Lesnar disaster.
It seems like the legacy of that show though is simply where the faces just kept losing. Decisions as to who went over came across both strange and inconsequential.
Still want a Y2AJ shirt tho
