Complete and utter silence with no source of lighting, noting helps me sleep faster than lying in a dark, quiet room.

I can sleep just about anywhere. But I love sleeping with rain sounds.

It depends, I go through stages where I need the TV on and sometimes I need complete silence and darkness.
The Drive soundtrack makes me fall asleep- I've fallen asleep on the bus/tube so many times listening to it.

I turn on a fan. I have trouble sleeping without the sound of one.

I need either music or a TV show on in the background, I'm paranoid about being broke into so if its silent I get very paranoid thinking I can hear shit.

I need to sleep in a void of darkness. Any light that happens to seep into that void manages to wake me up. It's very annoying, I'm thinking of buying a sleep mask to counteract it. That's the most vital, other random things that helps me fall asleep . . .

I. Not sleeping for a long stretch of time. Obvious but still very potent.
II. My air conditioner being on. It's a rather noisy but normally it's like white noise and the ambience it creates normally helps me sleep. Then randomly it'll start making different/unusual noise and become a detractor. Those nights suck.
III. My chain. I'm just going to move on.
IV. My snuggie. Not the manliest admission but having it as an extra blanket helps a ton.
V. Thinking or lack of thought. Honestly haven't determined which one is more effective. Sometimes the fact that my brain likes to never shut up can be very useful tool to put me to sleep with. Other times, it creates enough activity that it keeps me up.
