Could care less implies you still have the ability to care less than you already do.

I’ve trolled people for this before. Like I don’t get it. Do they not know the difference between could and couldn’t?

I've fought this battle so long Cat and people just don't understand. Like both "couldn't care less" and "could care less" are perfectly fine phrases to use depending on how much you care about things, but they mean opposite things just like "couldn't" and "could" are exact opposites
