Honestly, it's dumb. And I'm not sure why any wrestling fan would want it. Monopolies don't breed improved products, competition does. And I'm not sure why anyone would want even a sliver of that to not exist in their product.
You could also ask why everyone assumes AEW buying WWE would lead to exactly the same situation we got 20 years ago, meaning AEW would kill/swallow WWE or completely change WWE into AEW 2.0.

The big and deciding difference between the two scenarios is who is in charge of it all. Maybe I give Tony Khan too much credit, but I think there is a good chance he wouldn't just transform WWE into a copy of AEW in the matter of overall style, presentation and all that.

Of course competition is important, but even with the Internet going and everyone knowing it's all under one roof, who says they couldn't keep competition up between the two, or three (ROH) promotions? Also, I don't think, as long as the rosters are kept apart, the fire of the Wrestlers to do better than the other shows, would die. On top of that, TK is a fantasy wrestling booking nerd... you don't think he would love to have a non-watered down brand-split like attitude with this whole idea?

I'm probably wrong in thinking a bit more openly about the possibilities, but man... don't discard this so easily, just because a different Owner had a monopoly 20 years ago.

Long story short... AEW won't buy them anyways, so why did I even write all of this? :mj4

Good terms with NJPW, FTR and Kenny Omega were just at WrestleKingdom. The Impact relationship on the other hand is a lot more sketchy from what I’ve seen.

I thought AEW and Impact Wrestling has a partnership?

You wrote it because this is a wrestling forum, and are engaging in positive conversation with other posters.

It was also a good read, Loochy.

AEW buys WWE, then main stream wrestling in the US is done. Hell, WWE is bleeding fans, and AEW ain't growing fans.

Then buy the channel.

If AEW does buy WWE. AEW can joined forces with other promotions like Impact.

We can get all versions of Sting, Samoa Joe, and others.
You know you can’t just buy a channel right? If whoever your provider is doesn’t offer it, you can’t buy it. I mean they COULD pay the 99 cents a month for the YouTube shit, I guess. But yeah buying the channel isn’t an option unless their provider has it, and most don’t have Axs TV.

Shahid Khan would have to leverage more than half his estimated wealth to get WWE.

All this fool's fantasy shit these days, use your heads and quit jerking the other one.
