Just pointless abbreviations in general. Been hearing more and more people use the phrase "how's you?" instead of "how're you". Piss off.

One of our coworkers who left my job hated the word "bro." I would use it randomly, and it became a big thing for our coworkers. We all hate it, but it gets as sad as grumbles to be angry that sound like "brrrghhh" and I can't stop. I love how annoyed it makes customers and people not apart of the joke.

Easy: it is what it is.

I FUCKING HATE THAT! "It is what it is" is the ultimate expression of defeat. I am not the type of person that believes that anything cannot be changed. People who say "It is what it is" generally seem to be telling people that something is bad and nothing can be done about it.

Nothing "is what it is." Everything is what people are willing to make of it.

LOL This is what my brother says all the time. Me and my mom have a laugh about it cause it is like his signature catch phrase. This and "life goes on" is really quite depressing. It is accepting defeat. Both are like a way of saying "oh well" or "I don't care". If you don't care, how can you expect anyone to care? How can you even demand it or say you deserve it? Having this kind of mindset doesn't get you anywhere.

How much does agree to disagree do for you?

Honestly it depends on the subject we are agreeing to disagree on. I think occasionally you have to do this rather than argue forever.

But often I think "agreeing to disagree" is the same as conceding that your point is not worth defending.

That is exactly how I feel about it. It's the ultimate defeatist catch phrase because people only use it to describe a bad situation and it is basically equivalent to giving up. I just don't believe in giving up like that.
