Third season of The Bold Type. Scarlet Magazine social media director Kat Edison (Aisha Dee) runs an upstart campaign to unseat Councilman Lawrence Reynolds. Councilman Reynolds couldn't care less if the Lesbian bar Kat goes to closes up shop, as they were hit with a $42,000 bill which they can't afford to pay. City government is using that bill to shut it down so they can build a condo for wealthy people. While there's thousands of condos in Manhattan, there's only one lesbian bar in the entire city. Reynolds has also voted to cut funding for social services of single women with children. There's needs to be bolder leadership which can tackle the city's problems, like affordable housing and closing down the fake abortion clinics.
