First off, let me say I got this idea from CM Blazy’s most recent question in “The Question of the Day Threadâ€, so with that out of the way Blazy can’t contact his lawyers and have me sued now! So on to the discussion:
All of us Adults (and our underage Pulsers) sometimes like to unwind and a have drink, or two, or maybe even three or four. However, sometimes we like to go out and enjoy the atmosphere with our friends and have fun. So my question to you is: Where is your favorite bar, pub, or watering hole you like to frequent when you want to be a Social Drinker?
Personally, I have a few places I like to frequent whenever I’m in a certain City.
My favorite bar (although its technically a restaurant) is Buffalo Wild Wings. No matter where I have been stationed over the years, there has always been a Buffalo’s in that city. I remember being station in Arizona in 2010 and me and my friends would go there every Friday and Saturday after training. There is always some sporting even on the Tube (MMA fights have the place packed) and the drinks aren’t very bad either.
My second place to Socially drink is Hard Rock Café. The best one I’ve ever been to was in Seattle. As mentioned in the Question of the day thread, I love to go there for the Fish and Chips with a couple of Hurricanes to drink. There is never a dull moment at this place.
Another favorite bar to go to is Meehan’s Irish Pub in Atlanta (actually right across the street from Hard Rock). I love going here because the Irish whiskey is amazing and the food there is pretty decent. Also, its in a very prime location, not far from the Aquarium, and a nice set of hotels.
One more place I go to whenever I stop in Warner Robins is a place called Shenanigans. My sister used to work here, so she would always give me a heads up when a good Jazz (Don’t judge me…) band was coming into the bar. The drinks there weren’t really spectacular but it was a great hole in the wall place to kill a few hours with a group of friends.
So, Pulse, let’s encourage one another to share our stories of our favorite places of Social Public Drunkenness!
