It is that hard to rage on the WWE? Im sure most of us given time can do a pretty lengthy rant on this product. It isn't up to the standards we want and its BEYOND frustrating. Raw is just the worst and gives you a laboring feeling while watching it. Anyone who enjoys it, glad you do but most of us dread it. SOMETHING drastic has to change or we are going to be slaves and brainwashed by Vince and Kevin Bucktooth Beever done for their remainder of their lives. I for one am stick of it.

Meh, just watch other wrestling.

There's literally tons of it available from all over the world. If you ever get burned out on WWE there's Impact, ROH, Lucha Underground, New Japan, All Japan, DDT, Big Japan, Progress, ICW, Attack etc etc etc.

WWE is not the end all, be all of wrestling. Not up to your standards? Find something that is. Much better way to spend your time than forcefully watching a product you do not like

Completely agree. When I was a teenager, I always wished there was a lot more wrestling. In my area, we had WWF, WCW and Windy City Wrestling. I could have never dreamed so much would be available. There's really too much to watch now, so anyone can find something that they like.

I don't care what anyone says but WWE is too kid friendly. I always hear "well, if you cant do PG then u weren't good enough to PG-13 anyway!" Or some type of bs along those lines.

I like my wrestling storylines to be edgy, controversial, and overall ridiculous. This is fantasy, and taking those tools away leaves out more potential for storylines to hit certain emotions to a viewer. I can settle without chairs to the head, and blood. But I want my pg-13 storylines back, I don't agreed with wrestling being geared toward the same age group that watches spongebob

PG is not the problem. 90%+ of the best matches of all time are PG.

But ur missing my point, I'm not talking about matches. I'm talking about storylines.

Most of the great storylines have also been PG or could be tweaked t fit PG. If you want to see tits and ass just go watch free porn.

Going back to TV14 won't fix shit storytelling, 50/50 booking and rematches and repetitive matches.

The thing with TV14 is that these wrestlers/performers are Adults. Obviously either TV14 or PG will both be shit if the writers aren't any good. But what I'm saying is I would prefer storylines that are geared more towards mature audiences. Not a show that revolves around child friendly boundaries. It takes a huge element of drama away from storylines when u have to be more restrictive with the writing.

Without getting the kids though you don't have future viewrs. Iwas 10 when I started watching wrestling and have wathce it off and on since 1988.

My parents thought it was corny and trashy but they allowed e to watch it. IDK if they would have let me watch say the Attitude Era and I was 19 in 1997 for example.

I'm also watching the AE now (at 38) and most of it is shit. The good parts, most of it would be fine with the PG rating and I can live without the crappy bikini matches.

That leaves the violence. It died out for a reason, Foley literaly was broken, Austin retired early because of his neck, Edge took premature retirement (concussion related), and quite a few of the others are dead (Test, Owen, Benoit etc). In Japan one of their top guys recently had to retire due to concussion.

One can still see deathmatch and light bulbs if you like extreme wrestling, I would like them to push the boundaries of PG on occasion or TV14 on the network perhaps but I don't really want to see wrestlers taking 10+ chairshots to the head or killing themselves with drugs due to addictions related to pain relief.

Early 90's was kinda shit as well but there was some gold in their and I really enjoyed the UK tournament for example. Do we really need to see HHH fuck a dummy again?

Kids would still watch the product if it was geared towards more mature audiences, as long as it was good. I was 6 in 1998 during the Attitude Era and I watched until 2004, as most did everyone around my age growing up.

And you are still mentioning matches, I'm not talking about TV14 matches. PG matches are fine because of the pure atheleticism that is in WWE matches now.

I'm talking about storylines. And just because it's TV14 story lines does not mean it has to be all rehashes on old storylines that happened pre PG era. Being TV14 would give writers more creative freedom, there's no denying that. Any writer for any television show has to follow certain guidelines depending on what their rating is, and if WWE wasn't PG, then the writers could write more freely and more relevant to their age group, which is also the viewers who have tuned out in huge numbers since the AE

Oh, nobody's disputing that. That's a problem, but WWE needs advertisers to keep afloat. And besides, targeting kids NOW would be a good move, because this is a cycle that lends into maturing the product down the line. You think WWE wouldn't be doing the Attitude Era stuff if it wasn't for the kids? No, it helps. I was a kid when I started watching wrestling with a childhood friend of mine. WWF turned into Attitude Era, because there was enough interest for that era's superstars. Today, they have to build up new stars to get to that point. We're never getting the Stone Cold character back, but surely The Rock kind of gimmick which they're trying to build with Roman Reigns, with that badass soldier look.

WWE has the market, the problem is maintaining the marketshare/mindshare. You can't do that unless you have someone like Brock Lesnar, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and more. Most retired already, so they have to rely on Triple H, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Hardy Boyz, Golddust, Usos, and so on. They have to at least replace Undertaker, The Rock, John Cena, and whatnot. John Cena is in WWE, but as a part-timer, and he's done everything in WWE already. There's not much left that WWE can do with Cena, but they use him for star power.

The problem right now, is the booking, the storylines. They're not compelling enough. For example, the House of Horrors match was WWE's opportunity to go full frontal Hardcore, but they again - fuck it up. Not just from a storyline perspective, but also from a booking standpoint, and keeping watchers interested in the match. They did better with the Roman Reigns thing at the end of Payback.

There needs to be a middle ground where WWE is willing to go far, but not too far. Vince McMahon is keeping a tight leash on these WWE stars, and it's doing him a disservice as Founder/Chairman of WWE. He's currently C.E.O., but that's not even the problem; it's him micomanaging things from the Booking side/Character building side. He needs to let someone else do those things, rather than doing it himself. Your job as C.E.O. is to grow your company into a multi-billion dollar company, and make money for investors. Problem is, you can't do that if your program is too PG13, kissing customers asses, and adhering to Advertisers.

The other problem is that WWE currently isn't doing what customers - the fans what they want.
