Just days after claiming that he is on the verge of starting his own wrestling promotion with Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan now says that he wants to fight Ric Flair at WrestleMania.

Hogan told MTV.com, "they need a main event real bad, brother" and said WWE still has a lot of tickets to sell. Hogan said that with Flair's career on the line, it's the perfect match to have - and he even has an idea for who could be the special guest referee. ?Either he?ll put me out for good or I?ll put him out for good. One or the other. That would be the match of the new millennium. Hogan vs. Flair. Maybe get Vince McMahon as a special guest referee. Me and Flair both hate Vince.?
Yes, i'm sure that's what everyone wants to see. Come one, come all, witness two old guys who don't know when to retire take yet more limelight from the rising talent who desperately need pushes! Witness what should be a young heel's big break into the ME picture become a one time match with Hogan taking the push and then disappearing to threaten to start his own promotion again! You'll laugh, you'll cry, but mostly you'll think of all the things you could have spent that time and money on instead of this! Come one, come all!

Ah, good point. We have too much talent on the roster, so we should go the other way for a while! :p

Well personally I wanted Kennedy to retire Flair, but that's not going to happen. So it's pretty clear that Flair wants his career to end with someone in the ring that he has had a long standing relationship. So with HHH and Orton in the ME, it only leaves Batista and HBK. After HBK introduced him last night I fully expect it to be HBK-Flair. However that being said the actual build up for a Hogan-Flair match would be insane. The actual match itself would be terrible, from a work rate stand point. The crowd would definitely be in it, but the actual match probably wouldn't do much cuz these 2 just can't work the way they used to.

Look the WWE could have gone with the young heel retiring Flair angle, but when it came down to it I think that Flair has earned the right to be retired by someone who respects him or he's friends with. Which is why that I think that it will and should be HBK. At the end of the match they want Flair to be able to shake hands with his opponent, not get drop kicked in the knee and tbh he has earned that right. It's his last match and whatever he wants is fine with me, he's earned it.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, but I do not want Hogan being the one to end Flairs Career. Hogan's just looking for more glory so he can be the one to end Flair's career.

I'm gonna put this in caps for emphasis just in case Vince stumbles on here by accident. THE PERSON WHO RETIRES FLAIR SHOULD BE A MIDCARDER UNDER THE AGE OF 33. Its a pretty short list.

It shouldn't be Hogan, it shouldn't be Batista, it shouldn't even be HBK.

^I tend to agree. But, I have no problem with HBK doing it. He doesn't need a push by any means, but I have no problem with him being the one to end it. Batista on the other hand, although I love him, that would not be a good match. So if they're not going with midcarder, i.e. Kennedy, then I say go w/ HBK.

I am calling it, at a random Raw HBK and Flair are going to have a tag match, or HBK will be in the ring with Flair after the match and HBK will Sweet Chin Music his ass, it will be priceless, another HBK-Hogan promo, but this time HBK will be wearing the Flair robe and blonde wig.

^First of all that already happened once, only Flair did it to HBK, so if they do it again I'll be pissed. Second of all that thought ran through my head to, but at this point in his career I think that HBK is face for life. Thirdly HBK is getting old, I mean it's hard but he is. He could go out there and tear his acl tomorrow and be done. Does the WWE really want the fan's last memory of HBK kicking Flair's head off? That would be ultimate heel heat of HBK did that, if this was 10 years ago I'd be all for it, but not now, not at this point in HBK's career.

Well that sucks :(
On a better note, i had a funny thought of Hogan being in the MITB match but not physically being able to climb a ladder ...

Hogan and Flair are now at points in their careers where they need someone strong to play off of in the ring. They had great matches in WCW and this would piss all over the memories of those.

^Exactly. One or the other isn't that bad. They need a younger guy in there to help carry them through the match. However together it would be disaster, as far as in the ring. Now the promo's and build-up, well that would be a different story, that part of it would be awesome. Either way though it doesn't matter, this match will not be happening and it'll be HBK vs. Flair.

Um, I hate to say your all wrong but your all wrong...okay well not completely. Now I have no desire to see this match either, and the work rate would be shit. However, sad to say, Hogan is right that Hogan vs. Flair at WM24 would definatly draw better then HBK vs. Flair. However were all arguing over something that will never happen anyways. Hogan won't be at Wrestlemania 24....and that is pretty much a lock.

^That is true. This would definitely draw much better than HBK vs. Flair, I mean the build up and the promos would be insane. Yet again though the actual match would be awful. I also agree we're all arguing about something stupid because this will never happen. I will say Hogan will be at another WM, possibly 25(it would make sense), but I highly doubt he'll there this year.
