Well sometimes he sends people PMs for flavour reasons and to inform them about role changes. For example I remember that one time in Flash Mafia I got a PM telling me that I lost one of my roles because a certain character died, and this circumstance wasn't something that my role PM told me could happen.

Unless OMB is 100% bullshitting, which I don't see him doing as the SK or the lone remaining scum, at least this means that one of the non-town did something to him yesterday which in my book is enough reason to not lynch him today at least. I still sorta think he's the SK but I'd rather scum and the SK worry about each other and maybe go shooty-stabby on one another.

Role Thief in Smark games usually means, the scum player who has that role steals your vote for one dayphase and adds it to his own, so you basically can't vote for a day and they become a Double Voter.

...and if this thief stuff turns out to be true, I hope everyone can see that I'm neither scum nor SK cause doublevoting SKs and triplevoting scum are teh lulz
