Nitro opens of with a Rodman/Hogan, Bash at the Beach hype video which is one month away.
Tony says Hollywood Hogan is here, Lex Luger is here, and tonight’s main event is the Outsiders against Roddy Piper and Ric Flair. Wait, WHAT! Isn’t that part of your double main event on the PPV this coming Sunday?!
To the back, we see Elizabeth getting out of a limo. Before Randy Savage can step out, Diamond Dallas Pages comes charging over,he kicks the fuckin’ window in

Liz slams the door on his ribs, allowing Liz and Savage to drive away.
Ultimo Dragon, Super Calo, & Juventud Guerrera vs. Psychosis, La Parka, & Silver King
This is Lucha Libre Rules, so this should be fun. I’ll try to keep up. Psychosis/Dragon start at Tenay tells us these two are facing at the PPV this Sunday. They go like 30 seconds it was a mess, as Calo and Parka happen it rules. Calo does the senton bomb to the floor as Sliver and Juvi flip around for bit. Dragon says fuck this flip shit and kicks the shit out of Psychosis before tagging in Juvi, Parka and Calo do stuff as Psychosis leg drops for two. Parka almost kills himself with a missed legdrop. FUCK IT! I can’t keep up, look the match ends when Dragon hits the top rope ‘rana and locks in the Dragon Sleeper for the win in Psychosis. This is the usual Lucha stuff, flips dives spots and murder. IDK why Dragon still has to face Psychosis at the PPV now, because he just beat him clean. POST-MATCH: LA PARKA SNAPS AND BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF CALO WITH A WOODEN CHAIR
“Mean Gene” Okerlund brings out Lex Luger; he asks him about his thoughts on the Hogan/Rodman challenge. Lex says he’s trying to make it easy for them, he’s signed his name and the Giants name to face them at Bash at the Beach. He then says before he forgets, Lex says seeing how Hogan hasn’t defended his title in 30 days. J.J. has made the match, Lex Luger vs. Hogan TONIGHT!
Earlier today; Mike Tenay is stalkin’ backstage and he interviews Piper and Flair about the match tonight. Piper says some shit and they gonna end them, Flair says they will be walking out with the titles.
Chris Jericho vs. Alex Wright
Alex Wright’s dance moves are still on fleek; and white mean Canadian bacon babyface Jericho is back. Oh goodie. Tenay makes mention of Jericho’s recent involvement in the Best of the Super Juniors round robin tournament over in New Japan. That’s why he hasn’t been on Nitro in months. Wright gets the better early with power, but when he taunts that allows Jericho to make a brief comeback hitting the springboard dropick. Wright comes back with a shoulder to the mid-section before pounding away on Jericho in the corner. More epic dance moves, leads to a suplex with a bridge but he breaks up his own pin count to point to his brain LOLWHAT!

he continues to beat on Jericho for a good portion of the match he further kills the match with a side headlock, not once but twice. At least he showed good heel antics, by using the ropes for leverage. Nevermind, he just broke the hold for no reason. JESUS! More rest holds before Jericho makes a comeback, Jericho gets out of an irish whip by jumping backwards off the middle rope and hitting a dropkick to Wright. Jericho gets his second wind with a Tiger Bomb followed by a tree of woe. Tenay mentions Jericho has jet lag because he's 48 hours. Jericho hits a baseball slide in the tree of woe position, Wright begs off but Jericho is having none of it. Jericho comes back with a Cross Body, Wright flips it over when they land, uses the ropes for leverage and gets the cheap win. Match got quite a bit of time which is great, but Alex is awful. **3/4
Malia Hosaka vs. Akira Hokuto (w/Sonny Oono)
Sonny back to taking selfies with talent, what a guy. As for the match it was short and to the point. Basically a champ exhibition. NORTHERN LIGHTS BOMB! For the win.
“Mean Gene” Okerlund introduces the Steiner brothers (Who are wearing the gayest attire and sliver color I’ve ever seen, I’m not sure if their wrestlers or hookers); Steiner’s address that they are still the rightful champs, they've taken down everyone, and want their titles back come Bash at the Beach. Harlem Heat interrupts and have the same claims that the Steiner’s do. Scott just tells them to shut the hell up and says let's do it tonight and the two teams start brawling as refs and officials pull them apart.
During Mongo's entrance, Kevin Greene ambushes Mongo and they brawl. Mongo drops Greene throat first across the railing but Greene basically no sells it and they brawl all over the place as security and agents break it up. AGAIN!
it's a shame Debra didn't go Jaw first into the rails
Meanwhile, Konnan is lying face down in the ring next to a broken broomstick.
“Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff come down to the ring and get on the mic; Bischoff says there ain’t no way Hollywood Hogan is putting the title up for grabs unless he wants to. Hogan tells Lex that he needs to start working out before he can step in the ring with him. He doesn’t want to bore the nWo-ites by just beating up and outclassing a loser like Lex. Hogan begins posing for the crowd when Lex heads down to the ring only to be insulted some more by Hogan and Bischoff. Hollywood calls Lex a “Hollywood wannabe”. Eventually, Luger has enough and pie-faces Bischoff to the mat to start up the match.
Lex Luger vs. Hollywood Hogan (w/Eric Bischoff)
JESUS! This must have been during the Hart Foundation/Austin feud ‘cause WCW is throwing everything out tonight. Lex nails Hollywood with the Bionic Forearm to send him rolling out to the floor. Out comes the nWo Wolfpac to help boost Hogan’s confidence. Back inside, Hogan hits the running clothesline and resorts to choking. Turnbuckle smashes pump up Luger, and he decks Hogan with a running clothesline of his own. Commercials! They make the second hour switch during the break. When we return, Hogan delivers the corner clothesline and drops Luger with a back suplex for two. There’s a slam, but the elbow drop misses. Luger slams Hogan and the nWo try and jump Luger. He handles them all one at a time and hoists Hogan up in the TORTURE RACK for the win. Post-Match: Syxx, Nash & Hall destroy Luger, while Hogan disposes of the referee and he beats the shit out of Luger with repeated Leg Drops. The crowd screams for Sting, as Lex is stretchered out RIP!
“Mean Gene” Okerlund and JJ Dillon are in the ring; J.J. recommended Savage be fined $50k for his action. They considered suspending him, but felt that would be playing right into his hands since he can’t seem to figure out how to deal with Diamond Dallas Page. No longer will DDP-Savage II be sanctioned by WCW, it will now be a “lights out” match where anything goes and falls count anywhere. Savage & Liz are back; Savage says he’s got $100 grand set aside for what he did last week to JJ Dillon and what he’s about to do to JJ Dillon this week. HA! HA! Savage makes his way thru the crowd but before he gets to the ring, DDP runs out. Page says to hell with GAB, now's the time, here's the place, let's do it. Savage gets heated and agrees and he heads down towards the ring. Savage finally gets thru the crowd and dives over the railing and the FIGHT IS ON

They brawl all around the floor for about 30 seconds before they hit commercial.
Lee Marshall throws shots again; they suck so bad that Heenan doesn’t even respond.
WCW US Championship: Dean Malenko vs. Jeff Jarrett
After some solid mat wrestling, Debra comes out the tunnel to support her
man fellow Horseman. Jarrett puts the boots to Malenko as we take a commercial break; HOLY SHIT MATCHES ARE EVEN GOIN’ INTO COMMERCIALS NOW! They’re really trying to murder Raw tonight. I must look up what happen on Raw, when I finish this. Duelling Sleeper Holds wear both men down; Jarrett ends that with a back suplex and follows up with a DDT for two. A suplex by Malenko scores a nearfall; Malenko gets the advantage on the outside after a baseball slide to Jarrett. Back inside, Malenko gets a three-quarters single leg crab modified into a surfboard, fucking awesome. He reverses that into a modified ankle lock to stop the figure four later and weaken him for the Texas Cloverleaf, Jarrett counters an inside cradle for two. Jarrett goes on the offense with a swinging neckbreaker for two. He misses a corner charge, but blocks a flying double sledge from Malenko. Jarrett ups the ante with a top rope superplex. OH SHIT! EDDIE GUERRERO IN HIS ARM SLING JUMPS THE RAILS! He hasn’t been on Nitro in nearly two months now! While Debra has the ref’s attention, Eddie takes his arm out of the sling and drills Malenko with a FROG SPLASH! Then he lays the sling on top of Malenko and heads to the back

Debra tries to pours water on Jeff's face to revive him, but he stops it and throws the cup into the crowd

anyway, Jarrett gets up and locks the Figure Four on Malenko. Malenko is dead centre in the ring and is too weak to flip it over and TAPS OUT! Jarrett & Debra celebrate with the US Title. Dean sees the sling from Eddie left on the mat and looks at it, putting two and two together. Way better match than that shitfest at the last PPV. ***1/4
“Mean Gene” Okerlund is standing by with Jimmy Hart; Hart says he's beaten the Barbarian, but he needs to get thru Meng again, but tonight, in order to get to Kevin Sullivan...he needs to go through...KEVIN SULLIVAN? wut. Sullivan sucks up to his hometown Boston crowd and calls Benoit out. Before Benoit shows up, Sullivan tells Meng and Jacqueline not to touch him. Here comes Benoit and he trades blows with Sullivan. The Faces of Fear and Jacqueline try and contain their composure, but eventually they help Sullivan beat the crap out of Benoit before we go to a commercial break.
Roddy Piper & Ric Flair vs. The Outsiders (w/Syxx)
Big brawl to start; until Hall and Nash overpower them and turn this into a real match. Flair & Piper keep coming back for more, getting a slight advantage until Nash & Hall take them down again. Referee regains order and Piper is being double teamed by Nash & Hall. Piper escapes a JackKnife with a low blow behind the ref's back. Hall sneaks in and locks a sleeper on Piper and Piper gets another sneaky low blow. Syxx and Flair brawl on the outside and Syxx tricks him to get into the ring. Nash & Hall are back up and all 3 kill Piper & Flair for the DQ.
Post-Match: The Horsemen to even the odds. Here comes Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton to aid the nWo Wolfpac. Kevin Greene comes in, but he just wants a piece of Mongo. They wind up brawling into the aisle. The Steiner's and Harlem Heat start fighting all around the announce position. Even Glacier, Mortis, and Wrath are fighting

Now even the luchadores have come out! Kevin Sullivan and the Faces of Fear even join in on the action to beat on Benoit. Randy Savage heads down to take part in the beatdown on Flair and Piper, but Page comes out to get a piece of him. T he nWo try and stop him, but he still manages to drop Savage with the Pancake. Just as DDP starts to get up, Hollywood Hogan appears out of nowhere and smashes DDP in the back of the head with the WCW world title belt. Down goes Flair as well. DDP rolls to the floor and the next thing you know, Sting descends from the rafters! He lands right where DDP is lying. He points the bat at the nWo crew and beats anybody who comes near him; He hooks up DDP and they both ascend up into the rafters! HOW IS THAT EVEN SAFE? Anyway, Flair and Piper try and beat up the Outsiders some more while Hogan points a finger and yells up at Sting as Nitro goes off the air.
Nitro is Brawl; Nah just a good ol’ fun show best go home show in WCW history? Now time to see what happen on raw. NOTHING happen on raw, it was just Vince and Austin having a promo announcing the Canadian Stampede match; Bulldogg/Goldust happen, Sid/Owen and Mankind/Philman. I guess it was just a good booked show.
