It's All or Nothin', Baby!
Live from the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum (fitting that Jacksonville was where meaningful competition to Vince ended and where it began again...), it's WCW's Greed! Behind the scenes, the future of the company is deeply uncertain, with Nitro's TV deal ending in eight days' time and still no confirmed buyer. There are rumours that the WWF could add insult to injury by buying out its former rival. But for WCW, the show must go on, and this particular one continues its "Prelude to a Big Bang" storyline, where Scott Steiner continues to dominate against a host of legendary WCW figures.
The roster's nowhere near as stacked as it was at WCW's peak, but it's still able to put on ten matches!
- After leaving Booker T, Sid, Jeff Jarrett, Animal, and Kevin Nash in his wake, the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner will have to get through Diamond Dallas Page! Can he stop DDP from bringing the BANG when it's Falls Count Anywhere?
- Dusty and Dustin Rhodes take on Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett! After Dustin refused an invitation to work with Flair, a series of mockeries of Rhodes Sr. occurred, and Dusty has promised to make Flair kiss his big white ass (actual words)! Will that happen?
- Booker T's done it all in WCW, right? Actually, he's never taken the United States Championship, and he has a chance to do so tonight. Can Booker complete his Triple Crown as he faces Rick Steiner?
- The Natural Born Thrillers have been through breakup after breakup, but the remainder of WCW's youth movement - Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire - are still going strong as World Tag Team Champions. But will this youth vs. experience clash with Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell be too much for them?
