Was Sting going to wrestle at Wrestlemania 18?

Former WWE Creative team member Dave Lagana wrote a new blog on his IWantWrestling.com website, looking at the level of buzz currently surrounding the idea of Sting possibly coming into World Wrestling Entertainment after the 2-21-11 video.
Lagana noted that this isn't the first time that there's been strong talk of Sting working a Wrestlemania as the company was in negotiations with the former WCW World champion to come into the company in 2002 with the idea of wrestling Kurt Angle in a dream match at Wrestlemania 18, the same year Hulk Hogan took on the The Rock in Toronto.

A really interesting read.

This would have been pretty awesome, and would have made the card even better. I do think they could have picked better opponents than Angle though.

Thoughts?

I think at the point in time it would have been a really good idea to take Sting & have him face Undertaker Also another good match for that point in time would have been a Stone Cold vs. Goldberg match...Today how ever all these guys are old & worn down compared to how they were back almost 10 years ago.
