What I'll say on the topic is that I personally want this HOF to be a reflection of the tastes of the members of this board. I don't police who gets selected at all, at the end of the day it's up to each individual to vote for who they feel deserves it. Some people clearly vote based on legacy, some based on who they personally like. Some choose workrate gods, some choose big personalities. Some people's lists are pretty fucking random.
I certainly don't think there's any need for discord considering that the finalists are indeed a healthy mix of different eras and styles of pro wrestling, as I'd hope they'd be.
I'd love if everyone did familiarize themselves with the finalists at least, but at the end of the day, I'm also not expecting someone who has never seen a Kobashi match before to be persuaded to vote for him over people they've been watching their whole lives, no matter how much they try to study them in a short period of time.
Realistically, there are members here that are 100% gonna leave all the Japanese stars off their top 5, and there are also members here that are 100% gonna have Kobashi, Misawa and Toyota as their default top 3, with Vader probably number 4
All that to say, I think things will work themselves out in the end and it's gonna be a banger class no matter what.
