What's the real point in having a General Manager when The Authority is still present on the show with all the power to overrule any decision that the GM makes? And other than last night and the episode of Smackdown a month or so ago when The Shield demolished him, I can hardly remember seeing Brad Maddox on the show barely at all this entire year.

That said, we'll probably end up with Hogan as the new GM since he was rumored to become such just a few months back anyway. Seeing him interact with younger members on the roster (lol wait, that's everyone) could be cool to see. But the novelty of seeing him again has already wore off for me. Out of all the people on the list, I'd go with Regal. I miss the old days of when he was the Commissioner.

To go with the flow of The Authority the only way I see Hogan becoming GM is if he were heel. The Authority thrive off of the tendency to "go against what the fans want". To them the fans want a good GM, so why would the pander to them? The smartest move would be to make either Regal, Johnny, JBL, or Heyman the GM. They could use one of them to do their dirty work.

However, WWE are most likely just going to disregard logic and make Hogan the GM because he draws just as much as he use to!:eek:tunga:

I'm not opposed to someone who will draw like Hogan, if he makes them an extra bit of cash good on him.. I just wouldn't want to see him in that role for an extended period of time like.. 6 months or less to be frank.

As long as he keeps the talking to a minimum and bumps dat I AM THE REAL AMERICAN theme it'll be gravy I suppose.
I kind've figured before I even voted he was going to win.

I'd rather they brought back the anonymous GM angle than ever see Hogan do it. This is how opposed I am.

Keep Hogan off the show, I have no interest in seeing him ever again, same as Bootista or Ric Flair.

Now let me tell you something brother when you've travelled around the world selling out arenas and slamming giants jack, when you've done all that you can botch a line or two brother now what you gonna do on this Watch Wrestling site when the Seabster and all my Seabamaniacs run wild on you.
*Tears shit off and leg drops Senhor's beard.*

That's part of the fun I suppose Hulk's weekly screw up, did you watch his run in TNA ? That's a bigger issue than him screwing up a few arena names or whatever he was horrid.

you know I'm the last guy to defend Hogan but people predicted that if he came back to WWE, they wouldn't treat him as a big star like they did in TNA, not that that's saying much. And that's what's come true. Still waiting for the Hogan-only Botchamania. (Hulkamania?)

Now he's just Grandpa Simpson trying to sell network subscriptions and sucking at it. Fuck Hogan. But at least WWE knows he's not a star.

Voted "other".

I see it as pretty pointless to have any GMs right now.

I loved when they first introduced GMs, because they actually had a purpose. Now, The Authority just make the matches, so Brad Maddox was just completely wasted as the GM, and I'm pretty sure most of the WWE population forgot all about him.
I liked it when Bischoff was the original Raw GM because his bitterness and such made an impact on the storylines. And it was great when we had Bischoff and Steve Austin as the co-GMs.

I wouldn't mind Sting becoming the GM, as I'm sure he'd be heavily involved, as I reckon he'd probably only do the one match at Mania, or maybe just a few others here and there.
Hogan as the GM... it would just be crowd pandering. The most excitement and interest it would get from me is him making his first entrance to the ring as the GM because of his "Real American" theme. After that, I'd lose all interest.

As hard as I voted for Laurinaitis (People Power!), if you're going to have a Raw GM at this point, they have to be a face. Because they have to stand against the Authority. If you have a heel GM (like you've had for the last few months), he'll be completely sidelined because he's totally unnecessary so long as HHH and Steph are active on the show(s).

So, yeah, it'll probably be Hogan. I can actually see this being the point that brings Vince back, naming a face Raw GM to act as a foil to the Authority.

By the way, I found it interesting that, with all of the rumors that Sting was signing some sort of deal with WWE, that Sting wasn't an option (he was listed as an "Other" choice by several of the people who voted around the same time I did, second in that timeframe only to CM Punk, who would also be an interesting guy to make a GM.....I just think that would have to direct him back into the ring in the fairly near future, not that I think he'd come back to do it).
