I'd like Palhares to be offered the fight too, but i can't see it. Maybe if he had won his last fight.

Palhares doesn't really seem to be that big in brazil, would consider on par with someone like a Nate Marquardt in the states.

Wandy is on the tail end of his career, he should only get someone from his past since getting beat down by an up and comer wouldn't benefit him at all.

Here's what Wanderlei had to say about Vitor pulling from the fight.

Just sounds like Wandy is trying to play billy big balls and goading him into fighting while injured so he has a chance.

Belfort should just take the fight, knock him out with his broken hand and get the surgery after.

He won't get an easier fight than this in the division.

I wasn't going to buy the PPV before for $45 and now that Belfort's out there is no chance I would consider paying $5 for this event. Shocking how decimated this card has become and I agree that it should be a free PPV. If they try to charge people I doubt they will crack 100k buys.

As for potential replacements I can see them going with Rampage Jackson. Wandy calling out Belfort is a joke, Wandy knew that he was going to lose and would be over the moon that he doesn't have to face Belfort. Belfort should still fight him and hit him with a front kick and end it.

Well just read that Belcher isn't going to be Belfort's replacement, he's got a broken hand as well.

Opponent should be named this week though, TUF Live Finale is on FX and they'll be doing press conferences and stuff all week it's the perfect time to announce whoever it is.

Okami and Palhares are the only realistic guys available, both coming off losses but still well regarded.

Of course, they could bump someone like Franklin/Le or Bisping/Boestch up to face Wandy though.

UFC.Com just confirmed Rich Franklin as Vitor's replacement in a 190lb Catchweight bout with Silva.

This effects UFC 148 as well, Franklin-Cung Le was apart of the main card there. They should just bump Chad Mendes-McKenzie or Guillard-Cameos to the main card. Think it'd be better than finding Cung Le a replacement fighter.

Silva-Franklin will be good, too bad it's the only good fight on that entire card as of right now. Werdum is awesome, but I'm not a fan of Mike Russow.
