(Time for a classic post, an actual good one haha)
Think it's part of a much larger problem: Even as a casual I quickly started watching over Youtube (and now Dailymotion) to avoid adverts (and now as a smark it's better to avoid filler). Ripping the show off Youtube only helps so much, it's still available online. WWE needs to find a new way to distribute their product especially to avoid issues with sporting events.
I'm much more interested in Monday Night Raw Starring Daniel Bryan than Spurs/Heat, but it's better to catch a sporting event (that's only good live) over a 3 hour Raw (that's better taped) so of course it makes more sense to catch the Finals game live. That's certainly not good for WWE from a business sense.
