This is kinda off topic, but I was just looking back at just how sad it is that Brock Lesnar's post-2012 run has been as much of a fail and waste of money as it wound up being. Obviously because they pumped the Streak and much of the last top guy's superhuman-ness into him, but now his heat largely revolves around simply not being there lol. And how much damage his 2017 run of his did...
But in a way it shouldn't have. When Samoa Joe became #1 contender for his title people lost their shit. People couldn't wait... When Braun Strowman got a title shot we thought it was a Mania match blown early. We imagined all the violence and carnage and... *popcorn fart*. Both matches were dreadful buildups to the boring ass Reigns vs Lesnar feud that probably won't go down in history as just how much of an all-time epic fail that was for WWE as it deserves...
HOWEVER, it actually scares me to see a full-time champion again. If Seth Rollins wins the Universal Title, who's he going to feud with? He's had long matches with every top heel on Raw on every show. If Drew wins... Maybe you can do a draft and bring Styles over, otherwise he can turn face on Lashley (which sounds boring as hell), have a returning Owens fight him for the title for months while you build up someone else (lol)... He's faced Rollins and Balor and Ziggler and so many others non-stop.
Solid Snake said 1000 times before NXT brought it mainstream. RAW should be 2 hours of mostly jobber matches. Period. I get the appeal that "you need big matches to draw in viewers!" Yeah, I remember that time you announced Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens to main event Raw and zero people cared. It felt like a 1 hour main event... and Prince Devitt and Kevin Steen could have sold out arenas for any other company.
They've gotta stop blowing through all the possible matchups for the guys on the roster, otherwise the part-timers will be the only people who can make us look forward to a match
