An autobiography from WWE chairman Vince McMahon is currently in the works.
New York Post's Page Six reported on Thursday that McMahon "is shopping a memoir to publishers this week." A source told Page Six that the book is "essentially [McMahon's] memoir about building WWE."
Page Six also wrote: "The source adds that a deal could be imminent, explaining, 'There have been other bios on him and WWE in the past, but this is very much his memoir told in his voice about his rise and life.'"
Literary agent Vigliano Associates is working with McMahon on the book.
Representatives for WWE and Vigliano Associates didn't return Page Six's requests for comment. Page Six called it a "seemingly very hush-hush project."
A book titled "Ringmaster" on McMahon's life is also being written by Abraham Riesman for Simon & Schuster, but McMahon isn't cooperating with Riesman on that book.
A docuseries focused on McMahon's life is being produced as well, with WWE and Netflix working together on that project.
Dave Meltzer wrote about the autobiography in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Representatives of Vince McMahon are shopping to the major book companies the idea of an autobiography of Vince to talk about how he built the WWE. The New York Post reported on it this week saying that everyone has been mum in trying to keep it a secret. This would attempt to go head-to-head with the Abraham Riesman (who wrote a bio on Stan Lee) book 'Ringmaster' that Simon & Shuster is putting out early next year. That’s the book project they first asked me about. That book, that Riesman has been working on since 2020, didn’t include any help from WWE or McMahon, but just about everyone else talked with him about it.
