He doesn't have to renew their contracts though so there is that.

I agree with Vince, I am not American but I think the American people are gonna lose on this election. The McMahons are Republicans but they have never struck me as the hard core conservative religious type or altright types and AFAIK they have never used WWE programming to push a candidate or party in any major way (individuals tied to the wrestling business?).

We have Republicans in New Zealand but they are more Reagan or Eisenhower types they were not blind to Bush's flaws let alone Trump. They are either not voting or voting Democrat this time around.

I completely disagree with you on this. Vince needs his "independent contractors" just as much as they need him.

There's a bit of a tradition in the USA that people are allowed to keep their political and business opinions separate. By forcing his employees to, in basis, not say something about a friend of his, it goes against the political tradition of this country.

When a business prevents their employees from expressing their opinion in a free and open forum simply because the CEO is friends with that candidate, that is NOT democracy. That is facism.

Honestly, I have lost so much respect for Vince for doing this. This is not what our country is about and the fact that he is trying to prevent people from getting openly involved in the election... I have never been more pissed off at Vince than I am now.

Eh, I don't mind it. WWE's a public company and if a wrestler starts going off on either candidate via social media or wherever, then it'll most likely be very damaging to their image of a global brand.

I don't think he did it because he is friends with Trump but because of the poo storm that would follow from his followers or whatever or if the wrestlers and management had to pick sides. Its just not gonna end up well.

The Rock is a republican but I do not see him broadcasting it either. In this election wrestling and politics do not mix.
