Out of Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, Black Mask, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Talia al Ghul, Dr. Hugo Strange, Bane, Azrael, Film Freak (he'd have to be in a movie with Bane since Bane kills him), Mr. Freeze, The Mad Hatter, Mr. Zsasz (he's a complete badass), Hush, Ventriloquist & Scarface, Firefly (could be a good followup to with the "watching the world burn"), Deadshot, Anarky, Holiday, Calendar Man, Cluemaster, The Spoiler (Cluemaster's daughter), Catman :)smh:), Maxie Zeus, Killer Croc, Blockbuster, Man-Bat (one of my personal favorite, but not "real" enough for this series), Clayface, Tweedledum & Tweedledee, or Killer Moth...

I'd personally like to see Ventriloquist & Scarface... would be pretty awesome.

If Angelina Jolie does a Nolan/Batman film, I will boycott.

I know Nolan said he doesn't want to do Harley Quinn or Catwoman, but Catwoman is a huge character to ignore (then again, so is Robin, but we're not complaining tere are we? Lol). Johnny Depp as The Riddler (as rumored) sounds like it'd be the best bet.......as long as the Riddler isn't ambiguously gay like Jim Carrey's was.

If we're talking realism here, Riddler is your best bet. I think Penguin is too cartoony for the series, and Clayface and all the other "supernatural" dudes would only ruin the magic of realism that the series currently bolsters.

So yeah, Riddler, possibly Mad Hatter (although I would imagine him being too much like SAW in his mannerisms and ways of killing people). Poison Ivy could work if she isn't all super decked out in green outfit, and rather just uses tons of unknown and rare poisions from the brazilian rainforests. So I'd vote for Riddler and Poison Ivy as my top two.

I think Hush would actually add a whole new level of slow paced type thriller/chiller feel to the series, and unlike alot of super villains, I think he has the best chance of having that X Factor that The Dark Knight series needs.

And yeah, if Angelina Jolie even dares soil the name of Batman with her appearance, I will personally boycott the movie.

I'm not sure how much truth there is to Depp playing Riddler. I think he's more of who people are hoping will get the role. Hell, do they even have a script written for the next one yet? I know the original plan for the third movie was to carry on with the Joker, possibly inserting another smaller secondary villain. But as said, a lot of these guys don't really lend themselves to the gritty realism that the series has taken on.
Harley Quinn would have been great to see if Joker had indeed been carried on.

NO CATWOMAN. JUST....NO!

There was talk some time back about following the comic book line where the Penquin was a slightly deformed Eastern European International Arms dealer and pushes his crime syndicate into Gotham. Of course the thought was that Phillip Seymour Hoffman would play the Penguin, which I would LOVE to see.

Another choice beyond Depp for Riddler that would be awesome is Crispin Glover, known from his roles in "Back to the Future" as well as the main character in "Willard".

As far as the Catwoman story goes, leave the kitty out of this series. It's dark enough and we don't need Angelina "I RUIN every movie I'm im" Jolie.

Clayface would be cool, but how to make it a realistic story? Both Batman Begins and the Dark Knight have stayed away from the supernatural/fictionalized routes that the comics tend to lean on.

im not sure if i mentioned this before but after watching the lookout and killshot, joseph gordon-levitt might be a better joker than ledger. i'd pick either him or the jew from pineapple express and spiderman.

oh and YES for catwoman. wayne needs a pussy to love after rachel's departure.

Heath Ledger actually got some of his twitches from Russell Crowe in A Beautiful Mind. I've seen a few people who could actually pick up where we were left off, and do well as Joker if they decided to bring him back in a few movies from now. Joker's role in all of the comics is recurring appearances. He's never gone for long, and I'm sure there are plenty of actors who could make the return and play a more twisted version of Ledger's Joker and not do harm to the character.

I really don't doubt that there are people out there who could do some justice to the Joker role. However I think it lies more in the fact that he's dead, he pretty much created the character and they wouldn't feel right replacing him. Had it just been a matter of someone not wanting to do another movie we'd see another Joker in a second.....IE.....Katie Holmes/Gyllenhaal.

I'd love to see Bane and the Broken Bat series done. Would be immense.

And personally I'd avoid the Riddler for now. I'd be concerned he'd come off to Joker-esque at this point.

^I was thinking the same thing about the Riddler. However, if the third movie is anywhere up to the standards of TDK I really don't see them having any problem coming up with something fresh and distinct for the Riddler.

The only people who are going to cry over that shit are the smurf Heath Ledger fans who'll overdose if it happened... and imo, that's a benefit to society, not a tragedy. I say just grow a pair and fuckin' do it. If they're good enough to do the role, I'll pay to watch that shit four or 5 times to do my part making up for the few queers who think it's disgraceful/distasteful to carry on The Joker. People still went and watched Val Kilmer and Clooney completely knifefuck the Batman that Keaton created in the ass... granted Keaton didn't die... but the point is the same. We're talking about someone who could probably do the character justice and pay tribute to Ledger by it. Hell, even start off by just having a black screen, a quotable, and the laugh to hint that he's making a reappearance in the following film. That way if people backlash, you could write it off and say he was killed in Arkham, or if they love it, just go through with it.

I still think Firefly would be perfect, and then Mr. Zsasz would be an incredible character for this series based on his character being demented and inflicting self-harm, and not being sci-fi.

Bane could definately work as well. I mean c'mon, if they did Scarecrow with his powder then I'm sure then they can explain the existence of venom.
