There were black Vikings, though lol not a lot but they got white-washed away whenever people started thinking Vikings wore horned helmets for some reason.

I just find it funny that there were none in the first show, produced by a history channel, and as soon as it lands in Netflix's hands, the cast immediately gets more colorful.

Well good on Netflix for getting that part more historically accurate than the History Channel

Definitely more accurate than the BBC with Anne Boleyn.

I'm liking the look of this show a lot. I might actually check it out after that teaser.

Also, they going to show where the Viking and Native American fought or the Vikings and Islamic Spain...because those things happened

There were historically black Vikings, as it wasn't just a culture endemic to the Norse. It became a part of slaves they had captured or freed.

Historians between the 16th and 20th century white-washed a lot of stuff historically, probably the most famous being Hannibal. Contemporaries knew he was of African descent and had a darker skin tone than people nowadays think.

Show has been pretty solid so far. I'm a few episodes in. A few minor gripes but overall I'm loving the visuals, and the characters are fleshed out well. I'd probably say the look of the show is the strongest suite. Plenty of good action, and it has done a good job to keep me watching after the first episode. I'll definitely finish the series.
