For some reason the torrents will get goin really fast like 1.5 mb a second and then it'll drop down to 1kb a second and just stay there for a while and then hop back up.
Any reason and any fix?

Torrents suck. Get a rapidshare or megauploads account and fucks with a site like tehparadox.com (spelled correctly) and use a downloader like Jdownloader or Hippoloader.

Idk dude, I can download multiple seasons at a time, like just finished downloading every episode of Family Guy in only a day which is wayyy faster then I would be able to do it with Rapidshare, the only problem I have is random speed drops.
have you ever used jdownloader?? downloads 20 links at a time...can download like a 7 gb file in like two hours TOPS, took me like fucking days to download an album off of torrents, and thats like 600mbs at best.
