Think about it, TNA's fans are made up of mostly internet "smarks" who know about all the things that are going on backstage, so why insult your fans' intelligence? I know people on here love to believe that TNA is breaking kayfabe by using real life events as a storyline (Christian Cage's current status in TNA was actually revealed on iMPACT!) but in reality, it really isn't. Its not like they're going out there and blatantly telling everyone that wrestling is fake and its all a work, they aren't talking about how Abyss is just a gimmick and he's just some guy in a white suit. At the same time though, they aren't insulting our intelligence by saying that Christian is getting "fired" or wants out of TNA so he doesn't join the Main Event Mafia. Its called honesty, isn't that what you guys loved about the original ECW?

Do you agree with me? Do you think TNA's current formula of using real life events to help build up storylines and feuds is a good idea?

You still need to pick and choose what you use imo. Russo used the same ideas in WCW but everything he picked was obscure or totally boring.

For now its good, but you still need to keep a balance.

It's half and half. The thing with Christian worked, because it was kinda honest. But still, was it that much better than for example Christian coming out and saying he wouldn't join the Mafia, they give them a warning and Christian just quits? Not that much better.

But for example, the whoke Jarret-Kurt "You're the worst signing in TNA history", was just plain stupid.

I'm also split on the idea also, it has advantages and disadvantages. Bringing up someone kids, and wife i sad. Bringing up a top superstar complaints of your company on air can turn off the casual viewer. Bringing in real life shouldn't have to be used why would you mention your competitor on air, I don't know but TNA needs to find a way to use it to not come across as a pathetic attempt to get someone heat who doesn't need the comments. And to utilize like they did with Christian, as it adds depth to the story and the characters involved.

The Christian thing was good how they did it.Because as you said there not trying to make us look like idots. They know we know the score about all this.So they played it in and I think that works. So I like it.
