WWE has announced that Roman Reigns will defend the WWE United States Title against Chris Jericho and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match at this Monday's RAW in New Orleans.

Eh, this is a little much. Reigns has faced off with any combination of these guys for like 3 months straight. It's getting redundant, and the US title is just a backdrop. Would be better if they built the feud up, or part of it, off the US title.

yeah it is pretty ridiculous having the same pairing wrestle on tv then on PPV for 3 straight months, one good think 99/00 had was the random weekly padding title defense stats.

I don't know why raw burns through their PPV match ups on tv like this.

Makes zero sense, how are we supposed to care about the big match if we see them paired up for numerous shows.

Have Reigns just do training montages and beat up some jobbers and let Owens talk shit with Jericho.

It's because they only have like 4 main event guys(or at least only have 4 they use that way if you count Jericho) and 2 more guys that are part timers taking main event scene time(Brock when he comes back and Goldberg).

I keep hearing the Raw roster is so much better than smackdown. But they can't find other guys to put in the upper mid card?

Very similar to the brand split the first time around. Raw being very shallow at the top of the card and Smackdown creating new stars(or at least trying)

There's only so many times you can rotate the top 4 guys before it becomes repetitive and uninteresting.

Put this match on at the top of the show and let Cesaro/Sheamus or Braun be in that final segment

Both have trouble when it comes to the uppercard/ME scene. However, Smackdown at least is able to work with more. Cena being gone months prior to his shot makes things feel not as exposed as a Rollins/Owens Owens/Reigns/Y2J battle. Then they have been trying things with Baron, they could move Miz up. Raw has potential, but barely tries to make those kinds of moves.

Honestly though, you can tell Raw was going to build the brand around Balor. Not a real fan of his, but I do think that hindered them pretty badly.

Yeah Finn balors injury definitely fuck them up. The last few months would have been very different had he been here but what happened happened, you can only move forward.

It's a shame we didn't get to see more of him, but I'd imagine the same scenario would play out except it would Reigns and Balor vs. Owens and Rollins.

There's no legit need for Reigns to beat jobbers. Just wasting time.
