Urijah Faber defeated Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres in the main event of the UFC 175 preliminary card on July 5th, and following the win, The California Kid let it be known he wanted another fight sooner rather than later. However in a rather interesting turn of events, the man that Faber defeated that night will be replacing him in what was his next scheduled bout.

According to the UFC's japanese website, Faber has withdrawn from the bout and Bruce Leroy is in his place to fight Masenori Kanehara at UFC Fight Night 52 which takes place live from the home of the old Pride Fighting Championship; the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Apart from losing to Faber, Caceres has been on an impressive run of 5-2 with 1 no contest, in which the other loss was due to points deducted from two accidental groin kicks and the no contest coming as a result of an overturning due to positive tests of marijuana. His biggest win was the one previous to fighting Faber in which he defeated Sergio Pettis, the younger brother of Anthony Pettis and earned himself fight of the night and submission of the night bonuses.

Kanehara is quite the dangerous opponent for Bruce Leroy, however. Kanehara will be making his debut after putting together a 6-1 win streak with 5 first round finishes. Within his professional career, he carries noteable wins over the likes of Chan Sung Jung, Michihiro Omigawa, and Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto.

UFC Fight Night 52's fight card is as follows:

Mark Hunt vs. Roy Nelson
Takanori Gomi vs. Myles Jury
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Amir Sadollah
Miesha Tate vs. Rin Nakai
Alex Caceres vs. Masanori Kanehara
Katsunori Kikuno vs. Sam Sicilia
Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Takenori Sato
Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Richard Walsh
Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Jon Delos Reyes
Kyung Ho Kang vs. Michinori Tanaka
Johnny Case vs. Kazuki Tokudome
Maximo Blanco vs. Daniel Hooker

That's a better fight, a closer fight.

But yeah, that is a real solid free card.
