The cameras open up in an unfamiliar environment. Looks like a home, as the camera goes through the corridor. As it shows the sight that waits around the corner, the audience really make themselves heard, as it shows the newly unified CWF Heavyweight Champion, Batista. The old title is cased behind him and he has the legal championship on his shoulder. Wearing sweats and joggers, he smiles softly, but gets the reception he always does, an array of boos, from men women and children. He starts to speak over the boos, like as if the message is pre-recorded.
The Animal, Batista: As CWF Champion, I have had a few days to mull over my feelings towards the CWF.... and more importantly, the fans in CWF. And what you are about to hear is maybe a bit radical... a bit on the opposite of the scale from the last time that you heard from me but I feel that this is needed to be said. What I have resorted to saying in the past, I was watching back at the vignette before mine and Christians main event, and, while I was hearing myself say that you people don't matter, and that I'm the only thing that matters... I cringed.
The crowd surprised, half cheer, but some aren't convinced.
I know it's going to take time for some of you to accept what I'm saying, but basically it hit me. When I watched my match back, and I heard what I was saying, and what the championship win meant to me when I pinned Christian for the one two three, I, I realized that the accolade is only as big as it is, it's only as prestigious as it is because, there are so many of you pumping money and support into the machine that is CWF. If it weren't for you guys buying tickets, buying Pay Per View rates and merchandise, then this animal would be a mere house-pet, instead of the wildebeest that he is today, and for that I thank you. You deserve the best in entertainment.... and..... well..... me being in the house away from you fans... that isn't good enough.
Batista gets up off his seat and walks off camera. From there, the tron bursts explosively into life.
I WALK ALONE!
Batista comes out and for the first time in CWF, to cheers. The CWF champion comes down and pulls his usual turret taunt with the pyros.
Batista walks up the ring steps and climbs into the ring, to get a microphone. The music stops and Batista waits a few seconds before he address the CWF Universe, his new found friends so it seems.
Yes CWF, its not trickery, no teasing you into one big slander, I am at one with the CWF Universe. And there's also the thought that... if I could become the Undisputed Champion without all of your support, then how much more can I achieve when I have fifteen thousand other animals, chanting my name, and gearing me on to achieve more and more success!
The mention of it prompts the crowd to start a Batista chant.
I don't expect you all to be behind me straight away, I mean there was a lot of things said that I know if I was sitting down at ringside hearing, it wouldn’t be a case of simple forgive and forget, but I can guarantee that my dominance in this company will carry on regardless of my attitude towards the paying public, because my attitude towards the other superstars is staying the same, I will run each and every one of them down to keep this baby perched on my shoulder , so if you want to cheer a trial, error and re-tested champion, then you know exactly who to root for. Now, with that being said, at Uprising, admittedly, I may face, my biggest test as a competitor, as well as definitely being the biggest test so far as a champion. And it’s not particularly to do with who’s in the match, I’m more than confident that both of the men in this match are just not on the level that I am, but it’s just the bare fact that I am the only one in this match that actually has something to lose. I’m the champion, and it’s my title on the line. And whilst both of these men can go hell for leather to reach their goal to become champion, I have got to control the situation, I have got to make sure that I am in the ascendancy and…. Well, I guess the best way to do that is to join the other two and go hell for leather, because I can guaranteed that my hell is a lot darker a nightmare, and my leather is more tough and worn than both of these guys put together.
I mean… let’s look at my situation in simple terms, terms that my opponents will understand shall we say. First up…. Christian. Yes, the “Born Again†Christian, since having his title wrenched away from him by myself, is now looking for sympathy from the CWF Universe, he’s had a revelation he says. Well Christian, after thinking about my situation I thought about yours as well and I came up with a revelation of my own and no I didn’t come up with the Hashtag Face or any of this twitter nonsense…. Which you can all follow me on “At Dave Bautistaâ€. But no, my revelation is that you are to wrestling something that only comes along once in a long long time. You’re a unique situation there’s no doubt, and to try and compare it to something is rather difficult. It’s like…… it’s uhh….. oh, it’s like Korn’s new dubstep project. Yeah, Korn have made a dubstep album, and it does, it reminds me of your career as a professional wrestler Christian. You know, you had a go…. But you really just shouldn’t have you know. Nice effort… but I’m not buying this.
You see, when I beat you this past Monday on Nitro, I knew that I had Dolph Ziggler at Uprising, that was set in stone because he earned it, he gained it at Cyber Sunday, like I gained the Heavyweight Championship at Cyber Sunday, so I knew that Dolph was going to be part of the equation, but, how you managed to wriggle your way back into contention I will never work out in a month of Sundays. I don’t know what Sting saw on Nitro but to me, it was Christian, having has chance to become the biggest superstar in the CWF, but Christian blew it and lost his championship the same time. You lost Christian. You lost, and you lost to me alone. So why Sting has given you this chance to win this championship, the championship that only has one name etched in its history in the name of Dave Batista, I don’t know, and I don’t care, but what I do know, that come Uprising, you will be feeling a sense of de ja vu, when The Animal becomes unleashed on you!
The crowd cheer and start up a "Batista" cant. Batista, not used to the ovation, smiles before moving on to his other threat to his championship.
And then onto you Dolph... Dolph Ziggler. Dolph, there is one thing that truly intrigues me about you and that is where you actually come from. Not where you hail from, or what happened after The Spirit Squad, but.... how did you get to the main of event of Uprising?! With people like Edge, and Sheamus, been snapping at the heels.. no pun intended, at the main event scene for months. And then you crawl out of the woodwork and skip the whole working up the ladder process and you find yourself the number one contender already. Where.... where was your two matches against Edge? Where was your being held back by general managers and being screwed out of being brought up to the top of the company. I don't understand how you get the drive up to the top of the business. There must be something about you kid, and I welcome it. After facing people like Christian, and Wade Barrett time and time again, I would seriously welcome competition to keep me on my toes. But don't take this the wrong way Dolph, this isn't me bigging you up at all, because this championship, it has no chance of going on your shoulder, round your waist, nothing. You might be good, but your not this good.
You claim that it's not showing off if you don't back it up. My way of doing it is, it's not showing off, if you just plain don't show off. I am straight to the point, in your face, smash mouth offense. It's not about looking impressive when your at the top, it's about getting the victories, and that is going to be a sharp learning curve for you. What you will learn is the gulf between the top... and the very top... is massive. I am in the penthouse suite of this hotel, while everyone else are on the bottom two floors. I have proved time and time again that I am the dominant superstar and at Uprising, there will be no difference. When you tell your one hundred fifty thousand followers on Twitter on December the nineteenth that your Christmas wishes never came true, just remember that I'm no Saint Nick. I'm not coming out here with a sack full of presents and a red suit. And certainly do not give a crap about what you want out of Uprising. I have got the championship, and I am keeping the championship.
You can be hash-tag heel.... Christian can be hash-tag face... I'll just go ahead and take hash-tag champ!
The crowd cheer Batista, but he is interrupted by.....
