Although Triple H did make his in-ring WWE return at last week’s Fan Appreciation show, he is still recovering from his biceps surgery and is not expected to make a full return to the ring at this time.

The match he worked against Alberto Del Rio at the WWE show was said to be “safe,â€￾ as HHH didn’t do much besides hit a couple of his signature moves.

I haven't really missed Triple H and think that he would be used best in an Undertaker style schedule where he returns for a big feud is on tv for a few months then takes some more time off. He is still involved backstage so he can focus on that role and then come back to boost a buyrate or two and put over the next big thing.

He has supposedly slimmed down a bit whilst he has been rehabbing the injury.

I agree, but I am starting to think than this might be the begining of the end for the Game as a in-ring performer. It just seems like his comeback keeps getting put off, and we know about his history with injuries, and the fact that as a demand of being WWE headliner he has all that extra body muscle or fat. I just think, things are not as rosy as we are being led to believe. I will make a prediction now than HHH might retire from the ring as early as 2012.

I agree that he will be reducing his in-ring appearances from now on. 2012 seems like a fair date for him to step away although since he will be working backstage there will be the option for him to make a comeback whenever they need someone big to return.

Here is a photo from his return over the weekend at one of the fan appreciation shows. He has certainly dropped some muscle mass.

Triple H is always gonna be that guy that people don't care to see consistently, but would love to see a couple of great feuds here and there. I find Triple H is interesting every single time he returns to the ring, but after a few months he becomes stale like he's been wrestling non stop. Hopefully he'll come back and rekindle his feud with Sheamus for a bit, then I wouldn't mind seeing him on Smackdown feuding with up and comers for a bit and maybe allowing them to get a rub before disappearing again.

The best compliment I can pay HHH this year is the way he carried Sheamus in their feud in the Spring, althrough the matches were not great, the last ten minutes of the Wrestlemania bout was exciting, and that was down to him making Sheamus look like a star. For all his faults, this is one thing HHH still does better than most in Wrestling, when he wants to that is.

Here is another update;

Triple H participated in a radio interview two weeks ago promoting WWE’s Fan Appreciation Supershow in Hartford, Connecticut.

Regarding the injury that currently has him sidelined, he tore his biceps while filming a movie for WWE Studios. He said it was an old injury that was aggravated. He added that he is currently rehabilitating from the injury and that he has not been cleared to return to the wrestling ring.

In regards to his recent promotion with WWE, he jokingly said his official title is “Señor Advisor.” He said he works with the Spanish announce team and therefore is the “Señor Advisor.”

Commenting on his wife, Stephanie, he said he didn’t really get to know her until they participated in the storyline where they were married.

He concluded the interview by saying that he has shot two movies that will be released in the future.

So it seems like he will still be out for the rest of the year. Could we have a 2002 situation where Triple H returns at the Royal Rumble? That was a huge success when that happened and I could see they going down the same direction, maybe not him winning the Rumble but at least have him return at the Rumble in the Rumble match.

Yes, and on that point one good thing is that the HHH of today seems more sensible and willing to wait until he is fully fit before returning, where as in the past I think he might have pushed himself for a comeback too soon.

I don't know about the Rumble its possibly, but then again we were told origanal than Summerslam was the due date, so who knows.
