Same here, well I have tried them, but never had that huge urge to play more after trying. I really wish I could get in to them, as I do enjoy other RPG type games.

I think FF7 is one of those things where if you were there at the time and part of the hype then it will always be the GOAT...

For anyone born after the fact going back and playing it, it's probably just another JRPG. But to people who were thrown into a world of CD quality music and ultra realistic FMVs (remember, prior to the 32bit generation the best looking game we had was probably sonic 3...) Final Fantasy was mind blowing. and 4 cds? 100+ hours playtime? It was unheard of.

Fuck I miss the 90s.

I was a kid n loved ff7 when it came too (and still do!). Ff8 just fills that nostalgia meter more for me.

But also it will never beat chrono trigger as the ultimate rpg (for me)

Surprisingly, no.

The only games I've liked wrestling wise since the N64 days is WWE12 and Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 and even those were not that good. Playable but not that good. I played them both for a couple of weeks and that was about it. SvR 2006 I only played because my roommate at the time played it a lot.

Honestly, nostalgia is a hell of a drug. If you went back to play it now, you would see it wasn't as great as you remember.

PS1 Classic is my favorite of the mini consoles that came out.

it has my top 3 favorite games of all time on it.(FF7, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil)

Even tho RE1 is the pal version and runs a tad bit slower you don’t really notice it that much.
