Unexpectedly Good Matches

Basically what this thread is, wrestling matches, rather it's WWF/E, WCW, TNA/Impact, AEW, etc that when announced you didn't think would be good, but turned out to be actually be good, or even great.

I'll start with one I was there live for.



I remember when Sheamus vs Big Show was announced I was like uh its fine, won't be horrible but didn't think it would be all that good. But damn, I was wrong. Was match of the night and even a match of the year contender tbh. So they definitely delivered an unexpectedly good match.

I'll go with Halloween Havoc last night every match was better than I expected them to be aside from Monroe/Zaria and Trick/Saints.
