This isn't a guilty pleasures thread. I don't consider anything I listen to a "guilty" pleasure. I listen to what I like, plain and simple.
For example though, I'm pretty much a metalhead...but sometimes the eardrums need a break. There's some stuff I listen to that many people wouldn't really peg me for....
I love really soulful jazzy and piano driven stuff like Fiona Apple and Duffy
I'm a huge Frank Sinatra fan. Mostly his older works, not the more popular New York, New York kinda songs.
Some indie rock as well.... The Shins, Iron and Wine, Death Cab For Cutie and a few others.
I have quite a large collection of classical music as well.
So how about you guys. How do you step outside of your usual musical tastes?
