Its been almost 2 weeks since the undertaker vs shawn Michaels match and there is still a lot of talk about it. i agree that this was the best match of undertakers wrestlemania streak and possibly his career but i also think last years match against edge was somewhat around there as well being the main event and a world heavyweight championship match. So you think that taker vs hbk is pictured at the same level as rock vs hogan and flair vs hbk or even higher with hogan vs andre and razor ramon vs hbk?

*Notice how HBK is mentioned on a lot of those matches i guess he really is Mr. Wrestlemania..lol

Well, it was great, and from a match standpoint, better than all those you listed. But from an anticipation standpoint, hype standpoint, and importance standpoint, Rock vs Austin, or Rock vs Hogan, was better.
This was a great in ring match, but the biggest showdown of all time, was Rock vs Hogan. As strange as it sounds, HBK and Taker never defined their era to the effect that Hogan and Rock did. And while both HBK and Rock were incredibally popular, neither touched the level of popularity Hohan or Rock had. Therefore, Hogan vs Rock and Austin vs Rock both are a "higher level" in terms of dream matches than HBK and Undertaker in my mind. Not to mention in the two matches I mentioned, there was less predictability, because I, for one, had no clue who would win, and even though HBK vs Taker had moments where you doubted that Taker would win, n the back of my mind, it was always clear Taker would win.

It wasn't anything great by any means. To even refer it as a Mr. Wrestlemania match is a laugh. HBK is lol

i have yo agree with u on that maybe the match wasent better but like u said the showdown being the future vs the past had more importance.

The match was awesome, one of the best ever, however, the fact that you just knew Taker was going to win took a little away from it.

True but they did a good job of making you question it. Especially when HBK kicked out of the Tombstone.

I agree, they did a great job of making me suspend my disbeilef over the Taker/HBK match. I was so sure Taker would win but after Michaels kicked out of that tombstone i just wasn't sure. I can't remember anyone ever kicking out of the tombstone except for Edge last year and that was becasue it took 30 seconds for a ref to get to the ring.

Yeah, I have to agree I was thinking that maybe, maybe HBK would end the streak with the third SCM.

And yes, this is Taker's best match in Mania 'til date.

Are you for real? This was a typical HBK PPV match, something that would of worked for Summerslam but comes up short for anything near the accolades of Taker's best mania match or match of the night.

Without even looking back far I'll say without a doubt that Edge vs Taker last year was undeniably better.

HBK Vs Taker had many holes within the feel and emotion of it to the way it was portrayed. I shouldn't have to go into it and i'm not because you guys dont listen to me anyway. But you can not tell me there was any electricity or tension that compares to the past matches of Taker. Maybe it was the terrible commentary ruining it for me, but this match just wasn't doing it for me. Seeing these old guys in HD gasp for air while they go through the motions was just meh. HBK's moveset doesn't work with Taker and we all know the snap Sweetchin isn't going to take out Taker's streak. So what are we left with? Nothing. zz

yeah I rented it and watched it on a big screen in HD. I've also seen every other Wrestlemania match and basically every PPV for the last 5 years.

It wasn't anything to write home about

I really enjoyed the match and I also agree with the everybody that I think it was the best match of the night and the best Wrestlemania Match of Undertaker's Career.

I was there and I saw the match live. I was very disappointed with this years Wrestlemania, but seeing the Undertaker and HBK live was a great thing to see. In real live it looked just so real and not fake like other matches of the night. I was near the 11th row ringside and I had a great view the entire night.

IT was a great match and I actually thought that Shawn Michaels was going to end that streak it will be Match of the Year.
