fightline.com said:UFC executive Garry Cook believes fans are still excited for this Saturday's UFC On FUEL TV: Mousasi Vs. Latifi event despite the loss of Alexander Gustafsson. And, he feels as though the UFC will return to Sweden relatively soon.
"I'm a great believer in plans and planning," said Cook, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. "As I say to (UFC co-owner) Lorenzo Fertitta, 'I'll build a plan, and if it doesn't work, at least I had a plan.' So I think we'll be coming back to Sweden within the next 12-to-18 months."
Cook added that he hopes to have the Sweden event around the same time each year, allowing fans to plan accordingly.
"You're going to start to see us re-appear regularly at the same place at the same time," he said, "and I think that's important for the fans."
As for that nixed main event between Gegard Mousasi and Gustafsson, Cook also feels that fight will happen in the future, saying, "I think we'll still see it at some point, and I don't think anybody doesn't want to see it."
I'm assuming they'll be back next year, afterall it was right around this time last year that they made their debut in Sweden so I imagine they'll be back right around the same time next year.
