The UFC just got a little bit lighter with the release of four fighters. Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Jon Manley and Brock Jardine have been given the pink slip, reports MMA Opinion.
All of the fighters are coming off a loss at UFC 157.

Neer lost a decision to Court McGee on the main card, making this the fourth time the promotion has cut him.

Fodor dropped to Sam Stout in a split-decision to open the preliminary card.

Jardine suffered a round one submission loss to Kenny Robertson, landing him at 0-2.

Manley lost in another decision to Neil Magny. He was a cast member of The Ultimate Fighter 16.

Their profiles have been removed from the UFC website.

I kind of figured the loser of the Court McGee/Josh Neer fight at UFC 157 would be cut and Brock Jardine I'm not too suprised about.

Caros Fodor was already coming off a loss so I don't even see why the UFC hired him in the first place seeing as they used that excuse to keep Fedor out of the company (okay, there's more to it than that, but that was Dana's excuse!) and Jon Manley I don't know too much about.

This will certainly add extra pressure and panic for fighters worried about losing their fights and their spots! Ouch.

Before I became mod of this thread, the UFC made a monster cut of 16 fighters in which they released Jon Fitch (top 5 welterweight in the world) and Vladimir Matyushenko (who fought Tito Ortiz for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title way back when).

I guess I should have added Lavar Johnson to the list, but he was cut due to a failed post fight drug test, not performance.

However, the UFC is definitely cracking down on fighters who aren't putting on exciting fights.
