Overeem should wreck Browne. He's got the ability to be HW Champ, he wont cruise this time, because if he does then he's done as top tier fighter in the bookers and fans eyes.

Starts at 7:30am here tomorrow, not sure if I can be bothered getting up that early on a Sunday for the prelims. Want to see how Overeem, Lauzon and Hall go so will tune in to the main card. Surely Overeem gets his act together and doesn't try to toy with Browne.

Overeem is such a let down. I really had faith in him, but this guy has the worst chin in heavyweight history. Browne's knockout seemed really flukey as well, still not a believer in him. Crazy fight overall though.

Reems such a letdown though. Killed it in K1, Dream, Strikeforce. Came into the UFC and wrecked ZUFFA's HW GOAT then got suspended and has just continued to spiral downwards getting KO'd by bums. Worst part is he went all Ubereem in this fight and was wrecking Browne, close to finishing him early on but he weathered it and landed one kick and that's all it takes to KO Reem. He's lucky the JDS fight never happened, Reems got more talent but his chin is so weak that JDS would just have to hit it once with one of his wild 1000% power punches.

Kudos to Chael though for tapping Shogun like it was the easiest thing in the world. he really needs to retire.

Big question now is do they cut Overeem? I'm sure he's paid very well, was brought in as an elite HW and hasn't lived up to it past his debut. His Title hopes and now completely gone and its just sad seeing a former HW Killer getting KO'd by nobodies.

McDonald looked way too quick for Pickett. Fast, accurate, powerful striking. He'd be champ if Barao wasn't so fucking godlike awesome.

Predicted Brown to get sucked in to a shitty grapplefest, but kudos he got boring ass Pyle out of there quick. Match him with a top 5 welter now.

Lauzon disappointed as much as Johnson impressed.

Reem gon reem. Called that one. Should be calling it quits when you are getting crane kicked by Travis Browne.

Shogun is shot, that was obvious, but I still didn't expect the finish. #teamsonnen

I agree with you on everything Cork except Alves-Brown. You just said you want Brown to fight a top five guy? How the hell is Alves a top five guy? I want Brown against Robbie Lawler in an ultimate stand up brawl. How great would that be?

Overeem will get one more opportunity at least. I'd love to see him face Mark Hunt, but loser of Mir-Barnett would be smart. Also would love to see Browne face winner of Mir-Barnett, although Browne trains with Mir. I think if you put Overeem against Hunt on the Fight Night main event in Australia, that would be huge. Will see just think that would be the ultimate test for Reem in trying to show people that he still has something left. Put him against a guy that can knock you out in a second, while having one of the best chins in the world.

Hunt would murder Reem. If Browne and BigFoot can take Reems punches and then KO him a guy like Hunt with a granite jaw and bombs for fists would kill him. Should just cut Reem and get it over with. I'm one of his biggest fans but this is just sad, he needs to end it before he winds up like CroCop getting KO'd by the dreggs of the division.

Lauzon... what happened? But Johnson put on the best performance that I've seen from him ever since he came in to the UFC. So perhaps more Johnson tha Lauzon but still.

MATT BROWN!

Faber was expected to win but that was a bit more competitive than expected.

Uriah Hall ... well... he had his moments on TUF but beyond that just hasn't been able to deliver.

Reem... ummmm... I think the fight shoulda been stopped earlier when Reem was just pounding on him but the ref let it go. But Reem... mannnn talk about a let down. That was a let down. Just let that foot go right between his hands to the chin and he went woo woo down. But I think Reem should at least have one more fight. His name can still sell so that'll be some money but Reem... such a letdown after dominating Dream, K1, Strikeforce... now he is in the UFC and ... I mean he was expected pretty much to beat Brock... but now that Reem lost his roids he shrunk and looks vulnerable and well... is vulnerable. The big muscles can't protect the chin and down he goes. But as far as who... I dunno... give him Mir. But at least one more fight to get as much left out of him as you can before you drop him.

Shogun tapped... didn't see that one coming. I did see the takedowns coming but I thought Shogun might be able to keep it standing a bit more than he did. But def was not expecting that finish. Def wanna see Sonnen vs. Wandy though.

But I have to say... pretty good card. Nice action.

Also Reem is still in his prime, while Cro Cop was clearly on the decline and couldn't fight at the top level anymore. I give him one more time, maybe a fight with the loser of Mir-Barnett could do him wonders. Watch them pair him against Schaub or Mitirone just to keep him relevant lol.

I wasn't shitting on CroCop, I'm a big Mirko fan. But theres no denying his UFC run was a bust and he ended it getting KO'd by losers like Schaub.

If Overeem was 10 years younger I'd give him a chance of turning things around. But theres too many factors working against him. His age, the length of his career with 60 odd MMA and kickboxing fights, getting KO'd 2 fights in a row by people who will never be Champion. This is his second gimmie fight in a row he's lost, the UFC want him to win so they can sell him as a challenger to JDS/Cain but he keeps losing. Its such a shame he got done for roids when he did, I think right then the iron was hottest. Coming off the Brock win vs JDS would have been huge but now he's a joke with his career just spiraling downwards. I wouldnt say Reems in his prime either, he's never had the best chin but getting Knocked out even more times is just going to make it worse, his defence has slumped as well. He should have never left Golden Glory, they knew how to get the best out of him.

I dont want to count Overeem out. When he came into the UFC I had every belief that he'd be Champion there, then when he wrecked Brock it looked like a lock. But seeing where he is now it'd have to be a massive turn around. Just hopefully if he stays around he can put a win or two together. The worry now is what does the UFC do with him now? Give him a top tier fighter who can get a name value opponent or give him another gimmie fight and hope he doesn't get KO'd again.

Overeem doesn't have the greatest relationship with the UFC, so I'm not sure if they want to give him someone like a Mitirone or Schaub who he could destroy. The heavyweight division may be lacking elite fighters, but they have a lot of big names. People get just as excited to see Hunt or Nelson as much as they do for Overeem.Personally hope he fights one more time this year, but don't blame him if he wants to take the rest of the year off. This has been a disastrous year for him.
