August is shaping up to be a big month for the UFC. The promotion will debut on the launch date of FOX Sports 1 with a card from Boston, and officials recently confirmed they will be airing on BT Sport in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
That is set to begin August 1 as part of a three-year deal. BT Sport is launching premium pay channels, though, fees have yet to be announced.

"What we've hard on is finding a TV partner that just doesn't pay money for our rights but actually gives us the opportunity to produce and develop a magazine program that tells the story and creates awareness about the sport," said UFC executive vice president and managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Garry Cook, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com.

The first UFC event that will be offered on BT Sport is set for August 3 and UFC 163: Aldo Vs. Pettis.

I don't know anything about this network but I imagine it's a pretty big deal over there. The UFC is slowly growing into a global phenomenon.

BT Sport hasn't even started yet so it's not big whatsoever.

Buying such a massive product like UFC is such a risk considering the network hasn't started, it could massively bomb.

Seeing as I already have Sky and ESPN, I won't be getting BT Sport.

BT Sport has bought a load of the PL & Rugby PL rights though, so this is another positive step for them. Hopefully they keep the subscription price down.
