March will be a big month for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Spike TV.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has confirmed with sources close to the organization that UFC Fight Night 24 airs live on March 26 on the UFC's longtime cable partner, though event details still are being finalized.

The event precedes the debut episode of "The Ultimate Fighter 13" on Spike TV, which airs four days later on March 30.

UFC Fight Night 24 will be the second "Fight Night" event of 2011. The first, "UFC Fight Night 23: UFC Fights for the Troops 2" takes place Jan. 22 at Fort Hood in Texas and serves as a fundraiser for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

No fights are rumored for UFC Fight Night 24, though as with past seasons, recent "TUF 12" winner Jonathan Brookins would appear a leading candidate.

UFC Fight Night 24 takes place a week after UFC 129, which MMAjunkie.com has confirmed is slated to take place March 19. A city and location still are being finalized, but sources said the event will be hosted within the U.S. and likely air on pay-per-view.

As with past seasons of the reality show, the UFC Fight Night event will heavily promote the upcoming season of "TUF." The upcoming season features welterweight and middleweight UFC hopefuls who compete in 14-man, 16-slot tournaments in each weight class. Head coaches haven't been determined, but middleweight contenders Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen are rumored to be under consideration.

Despite its 13th season and now entering a sixth year on air, "TUF" shows no signs of slowing down. The recently concluded 12th season scored solid ratings with approximately 1.8 million weekly viewers. Additionally, the recent "TUF 13" open tryouts drew nearly 300 professional fighters to Las Vegas, including notables such as Andre Galvao, Karl Amoussou, Zak Cummings, Robert "Bubba" McDaniel, Louis Taylor, Vitor Vianna, Tyler Stinson, Levi Avera, Shamar Bailey, Muhsin Corbbrey, James Krause and others.
