UFC UFC 170: Rousey vs. McMann - Feb 22nd

I liked her up until TUF... after that I just couldn't stand the sight of her.

I was able to catch the last two fights. Daniel just kinda overwhemeled ole dude. Wasn't even close. That was the Cormier that needed to be in the UFC for those other fights of his.

Rousey vs. McMann... ehhhhhh I mean it was a clean shot to the liver and she did go down but Herb didn't even give her a chance to get up. She ate two shots while down. I think McMann should have at least had a shot to get back up before calling the fight.

Between the two main events, we got...about 2:25 of fight time. Disappointed as fuck that the Rousey/McMann fight ended so quickly when it looked like McMann could have tried to get back up.

Isn't Zigano next in line for a shot at Rousey?

Yeah They said Cat still has a shot in line whenever she comes back.

Between her injury and husbands suicide, we could be waiting a while.

Glad I didn't end up watching this card afterall, don't think it will be worth downloading it either.

Saw a gif of the Rousey/McMann and can sort of understand why Herb stopped it but I think you gotta let it run a little longer that.

Yeah I read that about Cat and its like... mannnn one hit after the other but her husband suicide... that has to be the toughest of them all to deal with. Hoping that she'll at least be alright from that. Then from there maybe she'll regain a will to fight again.

Looking at the results at least there were plenty of finishes on the main card. But I'm still rather glad I didn't take the time to watch it. Onward to the next card.

Not much to talk about, most of the main fights were one sided. Think the ref stopped the mainevent too early, mcmann was grabbing her leg.

Thought commentary was biased in the McDonald/Maia fight, both guys sucked.

Maia was there to be finished in Rd 2. Pathetic gas tank and so predictable when shooting for TD.

Watched the card and it was pretty entertaining up until the last two fights. Here's some thoughts on each of them:

Thompson/Whittaker: Actually forgot about this fight because it was over so quick, but Thompson looked so fluid in it.

Pyle/Waldburger: This was my fight o the night and both guys looked pretty good. Pyle was just better here. Stoppage was crazy late on this one and that makes me think Herb Dean was trying to make up for that in the main event because Waldburger was fucking out and took a good bit more punches than he should have.

MacDonald/Maia: Agree with Cork here, neither guy really looked that great. Some could argue that MacDonald looked pretty good in the second round but Maia was just standing there for most and it and he couldn't finish it. The fight was entertaining, but these guys are gonna get raped by anyone higher up than them.

Cormier/Cummins: lol what a squash but it was better than nothing and they did a good job building up this shit fight in a week.

Rousey/McMann: lol another squash. Not that against Herb's stoppage here even though it looked bad at first, but McMann dropped straight to the ground clutching her liver. She recovered fast but that looked bad at the time Herb came in to stop it. Plus he probably got chewed out for letting the Waldburger/Pyle fight go so long earlier so that was on his mind.
